I must say I am quite impressed, even though there were some mistakes, this is a very good interpretation (specially for a youth orchestra) and between us you give this piece much more feeling than the Berliners...

These young musicians are a true inspiration and they rekindle my faith in American youth. I first heard this piece performed by the Mexico City Symphony in Monterrey, Mexico in the 1970's; it's truly a powerful piece of music and, I feel, is underrated by the musical "powers that be."

Además tienen el programa más grande y eficiente para el impulso de la música a nivel mundial, acto que ni en mil años se daría en México. Es un orgullo para Latinoamérica, lo digo de todo corazón. Esa versión es una de las mejores, pero la mejor interpretación del Huapango es de la Orq. Sinfónica Nacional de México dirigida por Luis Herrera de la fuente ;)
la he visto y si muy buena.. pero disculpame pero la orquesta sinfonica de mexico no esta a nivel de la de venezuela.. tanto asi q la de vebnezuela q interpreta huapango no es la orquesta sinfonica si no la orquesta juvenil.. son niñoes.. y estan entre las 3 principales del mundo...
La que yo digo no hay grabación en You Tube y LHF murió hace como 5 años, así que no se si la hayas visto. Hay un par de grabaciones uno en el Archivo General de la Nación y otra para TV UNAM.
De la Orq. de Venezuela si conozco el trabajo y el proyecto Venezolano de la Orq. de las Américas que es como se llama. Pero aún y con eso no es la mejor versión, la mejor versión y así declarada por muchos es la que yo menciono.

I'm glad our kids are getting a good taste of the music from south of the border.
This is why music programs are so important and we cut these programs the first chance we get.
These programs culture our kids and show them the world without having the make them travel.
