All you Toyota haters....makes me laugh...just keep buying your American vehicles and blow your hard earned money on repairs.....so..why were you here watching this video to begin with???
Im not gonna sit back and lie, the old old camrys and corollas and 4 runners are pretty good. I see them all the time. But, this company lost it's way and got greedy and started to want more money so they had cheap china labor build most of their parts. And here we are now. They are fucking worse than Hyundai now. And they still can't build a true heavy duty truck like americans can. By the way, GM has eclipsed all and has become the #1 auto maker in the WORLD. Buicks go in China like hotcakes.
@sbdizzle92 GM in my opinion can't make a truck worth buying after 87
Ford in my opinion can, and has been, I don't know dodges really well, but from what I've heard(trannys going, and fuel pumps and other random crap like that) it doesn't seem worth it, but I'd take a cummins out and put it into my ford anyday
@crackaddict444 Hahahahahahaha that is the FUCKING MOST HILARIOUS THING I HAVE EVER HEARD.
Good enough for the FOOLS like YOU. Atleast the frame on my AMERICAN trucks won't rust out and fall apart while driving. Soon as you own a TOY truck, you should have you balls CUT OFF. Pussy. My Duramax actually can handle 21,000 pounds, JACKASS. And the Powerstroke and cummins can TOO.
@sbdizzle92 That's funny, because we have a Durmax Silverado, and it's the biggest pile of shit I've ever driven. And at least the steering components on Toyotas don't fail at 2000 miles and when the rare problem that does occur on a Toyota happens, Toyota stands up behind their product and does something about while GM gives you the bird. And yes, you once again prove that Toyota owners don't have to compensate for anything else like moronic GM hillbillies like yourself. Faggot.
@crackaddict444 The new Duramaxs's are amazing. You don't have a fucking duramax. Your just making that shit up. Well the duramax could have some probs...BUT atleast the spare tire holder don't fall out while drving, the frame don't bend when you accelerate, the frame don't rust out, and best of ALL the profits don't go to a fucking pussy ass 130 pound gook. If you want to drink the gooks koolaid, MOVE TO JAPAN and get the FUCK OUT of the US. You traitor piece of SHIT. Toyota is for FAGS. Lol.
@sbdizzle92 Except for the fact I'm not making shit up. And no, the spare tire doesn't fall off, but the tailgate sure as fuck does and the bed and rocker panels rust to dust in 2 years, not to mention the cheap ass sheet metal. And all the "profits" that GM makes go to the those loser UAW faggots that don't deserve a dime and to those greedy, sleezy GM execs. GM can burn in hell, just like you.
@crackaddict444 i agree, if the Union workers weren't so greedy, then GM would be able to buy ALL American parts to assemble their vehicles They have to buy Chinese and other cheap parts for some vehicles they produce. FUCK THE UNIONS. Get them out so the American auto makers can prosper and have ALL jobs and parts making happen HERE. Making jobs for AMERICANS. Greedy union punks. I still buy american because they REMAIN the best and 90% of the porfits STILL comes home. STOP the union GREED.
And I've seen a few, the duramax stands out as the worest diesel on the market
Cummins is just a great engine, the 7.3 is the best V8 diesel by far, and the rest of fords diesel, with the right parts, and the right how to do it stuff, you can make the best, longest lasting diesel truck, and engine out there
I've never seen a Duracrap last longer than 125-150,000K and thats just takin it easy on it
I have a 1998 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 Ex Cab 4Cyl 2.7 truck. This has been the BEST truck I have ever owned!!! The truck has 279.000 Miles on it. I Have done oli changes on time, 2 tune ups and 1 clutch! I just drive it back from Arizona to California last week with no problems! FUCK Chevy, Ford And Dodge!! I have owned all 3!! TOYOTA ALL THE WAY!!
I have a 1998 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 Ex Cab 4Cyl 2.4 truck. TOYOTA ALL THE WAY!!
my '97 4runner is the all time best! It has 235,000 miles! Although it's starting to rumble @ 50 mph! I'm a little worried. What is that? Psyche! Its nothing!
@benslooking4junk My dad has a '99 4Runner and it was rumbling between 60-75 mph. We replaced the rear u-joint and it doesn't do that anymore. Might want to get that checked out.
@JMunn55 hey buddy, I replaces the u joint, that was the prob, you are 100% correct! Too bad I also had to eventually replace a brake caliper, power steering pump, and return line, and brake line, but now she's strong, 100%, well, about 90%, still one repair to go. labor of love! :)
the 22R/RE ...was the best engine ever made in my opinion, made from (81-87)/(88-95)...man those engines would run 300,000 miles when taken care of, I just bought an 86 5-spd. xcab 4x4 off of ebay, just dropped a well-machined totally fresh 22R with a new Weber 32/36 Carb,, and had the rear end rebuilt with new brakes and new clutch also, I LOVE those old toyota trucks, there is so much you can do to them and you can rely on them to get you down the road, I'm already think about gettin another
wish toyota whould go back to basic trucks 4cl 5sp 4wd std cab no power junk i wnt to look a new 4wds tacomas cheapest they had was $28000 v6 power windows locks acess cab sissy 4wd push button for 4wd there is a base 4wd $190000 sticker no dealer in the so cal stocks them miss the old school free wheeling hubs have to get out to lock them thanks for posting
I agree 1000%. I've had several & loved everyone of them. NONE OVER 95! Give me 22R or give me NOTHING!
My (Beloved) 93 reg cab 22RE 4WD 5sp was @$13k off the lot..."americanism" has killed the base model. "Why worry about today, with what you can't afford tomorrow"
Leather seats, dual zone AC push button 4WD & all the other stuff a sorry LAZY ASS can't live wothout can kiss my ass AFAIC. But I don't buy new either. I let some fool living off money he aint made yet sell it to me for pennies
And yes, new Toyota's suck. The old ones you just can't kill...well dumbass Mericans that don't believe in preventative maintenance can kill them. But that's any vehicle.
I wish Toyota would take the "Americanized" stick out of their ass and go back to building real trucks. There is more to a vehicle than the name, and that's what they're banking on today. People that think it's the Top Gear truck. When in fact a new truck wouldn't have lasted 5 min
its not "Americanized" its "Modernized" the average person doesn't look for anything other than the up-to-date technology and systems. If Toyota still marketed this truck today, people wouldn't buy it. Toyota is just keeping up with today's standards.
That's all the BS "options" a "truck" comes with so they can jack the price up. It got its name from all the white collar ppl that had the have a "truck" but were too snooty to drive a REAL "truck" so they wanted it loaded with all this BS like dual zone AC, push button 4WD, leather, lighted VANITY mirrors, Sat Nav, MP3, CD, embossed carpets, mag wheels, bed liner, cargo divider, make it bigger so my fat lazy ass can stretch out in a compact truck bigger
these are probably the best trucks ever made. Top gear had a really good show where they tried to destroy one. I like how new they cost 10,000 and even today finding one in good shape will cost you about that. Zero depreciation since new
Keep in mind that the trucks in the commercial are "stripped down" models.. the only visible option being the rear bumpers. Mine had the chrome package (mirrors, bumpers, windshield trim, door handles, grille), AC, cloth interior with carpeting, stripes, and a bedliner. That brought the sticker up to about 12,400 (selling price was around 11,700, if I remember right.)
Holy crap! What a coincidence! The date this aired is the same exact date on which I bought a new 1987 Toyota 4x4 truck. I still have it today, all rusted, ragged, and with over 350 thousand miles on it, but I still drive it almost every day!
