Do you remember, in qualification round of World Cup-2006 Uzbekistan played with Bahrain. The referee was japanese, Toshimitsu Yoshida. He made the most ununderstandable mistake in the history of football.

So, I think, this is the problem of AFC not arab. I think everything will be Okay!

Thanks for your comment. I remember that call very well. Yoshida was banned forever as a FIFA referee. But think carefully . . . who was the opponent? Gulf country? Yes!

The problem is not related to what nationality the referee is, and it is not about Uzbekistan. This game was the match before Japan vs Qatar. If Japan won the match, Qatar would be out. The referee had to prevent that, so he made bad calls.

The PROBLEM comes from the man who runs AFC - a man from Qatar named binHammam.

Overall I can see that referee made many incorrect calls.

However, there are many flaws in your support of your argument. First per title of the video you are blaming the issue to all Arabs by providing your interpretation of AFC. I disagree with this point, you can't blame all Arabs for this blunder. (followed in the second post)

Secondly, when Anvar is providing evidence about Japanese referee, you are again blaming it to Gulf nations, while yourself acknowledging that referee's nationality is irrelevant. This is a big logical flaw in your argument. You are contradicting to your own statement: blaming on nationality of bin Hammam in questionable outcome, while claiming that Japanese referee’s mistake is irrelevant to his ethnicity.

(3) You have to first check the logic of your own arguments. My personal belief is that AFC (even FIFA) has some questionable calls and most likely could be due to corruption. However, I wouldn’t attribute this mistake to whole nationality. If you want to criticize bin Hammam I can happily join you, but you should not attribute this to his ethnicity. At the end of the day we don’t blame Qatari or Arab people for mistakes of bin Hammam nor all Japanese people for mistakes of Toshimitsu Yoshida.

Uzbek footbal is way different from dirty arabic footbal, but, here in this match I have to say this Syrian referee Mohsin Basma tried to help our team a lot. But, the funny thing is this Mohsin Basma is consistantly tries to favor a team in any given match. There have been two-three ocassion where Basma really favoured Uzbekistan, but, when we palyed in Arab Land he did the opposite, this a fact. He is good BIASED, referee with the typical ARAB mentality. He needs to be kicked out.

Some of the highlights are really bad decisions from the ref while some were not. But the one on 2,28 should have been a yellow for both players if we are going by the book. A player from the opposing team can be penalized if he takes the ball out of the net after a goal or when a Goal/freekick has been awarded to the opposing team. But still a lot of this is weird but hey this is Football and all the best to Japan in WC 2010.

Matsudono is correct. This is corruption by Mohammed Bin Hammam to get Qatar in the World Cup. This officiating is garbage and coach Okada had every right to be disgusted.

If you think this is bad, check out games involving Jack Warner's Trinidad and Tobago. The "Win" over the USA in the first round was a hoot. Fact is, Sepp's right and left hand men are corrupt as all hell and sour the game of football for the entire world. Sepp and his boys should go.
