  • Awesome song from Kris, Just hard to hear the age in his voice now.

  • @MrMatt49er Yeah, it reminds me of when we started to hear the age in Johnny's voice in his final days. I hope he goes on for a good while, Willy and Kris are all thats left of the Highwaymen..and all thats left of the Outlaws.

  • @Suidakkra actually all thats left of CountryMusic as we knew it. Except for one man and his name is JAMEY JOHNSON he will make you think you are listening to the real Country singers of yesteryear give him a listen

  • I´m gonna see him tonight i Copenhagen.... Can´t wait! :-D

  • I'm gonna see him live for the second time in August =D. Can't wait!

  • My best friend, we call em two feathers, is sooo cherokee. Killed a snake once when we were little and he cried, god love em.

  • Cherokee blood will not make you crazy as long as you can fuss up to Rita and her endless denial about being just a plain ole white person. Fame is far from the bone.

  • Kris also was honored with the 1st 'Stephen Bruton Award' on Nov 13, at the Lone Star Film Festival in Fort Worth.

The award is for "artists whose careers are anchored in music but also feature work in films."

The award itself was constructed from wood, steel and a bit of the counter from the Bruton family store, Record Town.

  • Kris will be saluted with an all-star musical tribute that evening...

Congratulations, Kris!!! You needn't fear this evening, but enjoy it. You deserve every pleasure you are given... Thank you so very much and Keep your spirit!

  • On November 10, Kris will be honored with the BMI Icon Award at the performing rights organizations 57th annual Country Awards, the oldest awards saluting countrys top music makers. The Icon designation is given to BMI songwriters and artists who have had a unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers.

  • This is the first song I have bought of his (other than Highwayman)

I am not too familiar with his work not being a huge country fan.

Could some one list some songs of his that are the must have songs that are similar to this type of work? I have heard people rave over him and I would like to heard more.

...or is this the only song I am going to like not being a huge country fan? Others that I have listen to on youtube I am not liking that much.

    Suggestions please?

  • instantly loved...

  • I absoloutly love Kris Krostofferson.

  • This was Stephen's Swan Song. Back ground vocals and mandolin Look at see who the album is dedicated to.

    I miss you dearheart!

    Love and light!

  • wow!

  • Just got this cd yesterday meant to get it the day it cameout but didn't.Got the speacial edition.

  • Does anyone know for a fact that it's Dylan singing back-up?

  • yep, it's a fact.

  • Stephen Bruton sings back- up, Kris would not need Bob Dylan's voice for harmony vocals.

  • This sounds like the kind of song Johnny Cash would steal and then it would be as if he wrote the damn thing in the first place. If only...

  • ... If only he still was alive? Guess you mean Johnny would like it as much as he loved Sunday morning..., don't you? So I don't understand those thumb downs with your comment... (?) Or did I get you wrong?

  • Heh. Yeah, chalk it up to ignorance on their part. Part of the legend of Johnny Cash is that if you let him borrow one of your songs you'll probably never get it back. All that really means is you couldn't do it the same justice after Johnny had applied his unique gift to it. I can't imagine that anyone who ever had Johnny "steal" one of their songs would trade that "theft" for anything in the world. I know damn well Kris wouldn't.

  • Yep, I do agree. Johnny was larger than life... and Kris is larger than life... will always be, too.

    I love his new album.

  • Though Johnny knew this song, there is some bonus track on the "Highwaymen The road goes on forever" anniversary edition with this song. But it only was kind of a demo version...

  • Thanks for the e-mails. I will be sure to check those songs out.

  • It was a pleasure... Hope you can find some songs you'll love as much :-)

  • Love it

  • I heard he was gonna kick toby keith's ass but toby backed down...lol

  • Yep lol.Kris is awesome.

  • so want 2 hear more from the album !!

  • Love it...☺

  • Awesome !!! (5*) Sherry

    Thanks biggestkrisfan for the share.

  • Great song. I already heard it on Kris' new west records site.

  • Love it , cant wait for the album. its released a day before my 32nd b/day and my sister is called sinead so track 5 should be interesting

  • It's about Sinead O'Connor, one verse is on the Bonus DVD "Live forever- In the studio with the Highwaymen" to the 10th anniversary edition "The road goes on forever" great docu!!

  • Yeah well don't not get merried because it hinders you seeing one of his concerts. He has to come to the states because you would be to exspensive to go elsewhere.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey, great song, love it... I can't wait getting his new album on September 29, it's pre-ordered (de luxe edition of course!!!) Got all the stars I could give; faved and shared as well...

    Keep your spirit, Kris!!!

  • You know I went into a fye music store and asked for kris kristofferson, and the guy said whats that. Then I foundout they only had one and it wasn't the one that I was looking for.Same situation when I went to bestbuy and borders.

  • That's a SHAME, isn't it??

  • yeah you know whats also a shame .I'm 18 and nobody my age knows of this guy, unless you say the guy who played the old guy in the blade movies.

  • always get the same myself from many peeps

remember goin to Kris concerts a while back and me and my mates always stood out as the youngest ones there.

  • Well I haven't been to kristofferson's concerts yet -your lucky-should go to one ,befour his time runs out and I lost my chance.

  • i thought the same, was even trying to wangle getting married in the states to coincide with one of his concerts. Luckily he came over to ireland, see him 3 times in last 10 years now....and still aint got hitched LOL

  • What you can do? Put his (only) CD in front of all the other country "K" stuff in the music store... That's what I always do :-)

  • I needn't do it when I was in Berlin a few weeks ago in some of the biggest music stores there in the city centre. Kris had his own place on the CD shelf "Kris Kristofferson" and there were 4 and 5 different CDs of him. That was great.

  • love this awesome artist
