Pennyweights - grams.. Pennyweights make it much easier 2 communicate 2 ppl i.e. Theres 20pw in 1 troy ounce of precious metal.. 2pw is 1/10th, 5pw is 1/4, 10pw is 1/2, etc. Ppl can relate much easier with pw than g. Either way, it all translates the same, albeit using a different measurement :)
