I've seen a couple of your videos now and I have to say that I love them. LOVE 'EM!!! The way you do your product reviews are awesome. I love how you show to use them and how your hair turns out. The proof is in the pudding!!! I can sit here all day and listen to someone tell me about a product and how their hair turns out, but I can't truly comprehend it unless I get a visual like I get from your videos. Keep up the good work!!!
Hi Chary Jay, I was wondering if you still us this product? I was watchig some of your recent videos an I didn't see this product listed, and I just wanted to know if it still works for you?
Hey Chary J why in the world have i never seen this vid lol anywho i'm glad you did a review cause i always thought mixed chicks was for mixed chicks lmbo
So not even trying to be funny, a legit question: It's it for black women with a quote on quote "mixed" hair texture. Or a more looser "curl" texture??
@CiCiBabiiBoo really, anyone can use it. multiracial or multiethnic people are their target demographic, but it'll work for anyone (assuming your hair responds well to it lol).
Thanks for reviewing this prod. i'll check it out. i'm transitioning now (10 months) and have wanted to try this dc sometime in the future. i think i saw neutrogena's triple moisture in the background when you were applying your dc - i'm nosey, right? lol anyway, really love that dc...might do a review on it soon.
@NaturalSoleil Yep, that was the Neutrogena's Triple Moisture. It's my sister's and I'm guessing she hated it since it's been there forever. Good eye, lol!
you may want to make sure that detangling wasnt a breeze just because you no longer have those permed ends and 2 different textures to deal with. I recently used this and it provided GREAT slip but i also remember that detangling transitioning hair was SOOOO much harder than detangling my hair once i cut off those permed ends. Not having 2 textures makes detangling a breeze by itself in some cases!
Thanks for the review. You might want to think about sectioning hair when washing. have the same length of hair as you and I find sectioning really speeds things along.
@olamina Thanks for the tip! It doesn't take me long to wash my hair, but I think sectioning might help so I don't overuse the product. i'll try that next time. Thanks again!
oh my ur hair is so thick and lovely--i have yet to find a great deep conditioner--and i think i'll try this one now---hmm yup i think i definitely will--
I didn't do a tutorial on this style because it's sort of basic: flat twists on one side and mini-twists on the other, but I will have a tutorial uploaded this week that is a bit more interesting that I hope you'll love. :)
BTW, You rock! Thanks for all your support!!!! I'm glad you liked the "Salsa Infused turkey burgers"!!
you've become a pro with those flat twists. i can only do them from right to left at an angle. great review! i'm still looking for a staple deep conditioner.
you did a really good job of reviewing this product! It cuts down on the time when you explain while applying, and thanks for listing the ingredients for us! I know that you are going to make youtube partner in no time
very cute style!! I am getting better with flat twisting myself. I have yet to try it in the back and rear sides of my hair. Once I do get the hang of that it is on and poppin with the styling I can do. Love your hair. I tried a sample of the Mixed Chicks deep conditioner and it was pretty good. I also tried the leave in conditioner sample size and liked that too.
@jessiepooh02 Well I don't know if it makes a difference, but I did my twists on dry hair and when the ends of my twists got puffy after the 3rd day of wearing this style (the picture was taken on the 5th day of wearing this style), I smoothed some OH Burnt Sugar Pomade onto them in a twisting rotation and it actually elongated my twists and eliminating the puffy ends. I was shocked! Gotta love that stuff too!!!
I live in Detroit do you know a place that braids really good I want boxed braids and Afro puffy twist

have you tried pre-pooing with an oil while your twists are still in? then detangle in sections....always helps me to detangle post-twists :)

That's pretty much all I do. I also stated in the video that I had twists in my hair for a week before I took them out and did a twist out.
