  • copied from the jackson 5 "I FOUND THAT GIRL"

  • @yankees2000ms You are right. Definitely a straight ripoff. I love both this songs just because they both feature the second lead singers of each group and show another side of the groups.

  • Only song that Bobby sang lead on...I remember having this tape as a kid, it amazes me how things work out. A fan as a child and these are my friends as a man. Still a fan though

  • @jlbakerinc mr. telephone man

  • @jlbakerinc ... Bobby sang lead on Mr. Telephone Man.

  • My Adidas with the fat lace appeal, straight from New York down to Georgia, Micheal Jackson and Scott La Rock or theThe Geto Boyz. Doc, Niq, Spudd and the Atlanta Hawks. Transformers and G.I. Joes. Trans Ams and Clint Eastwood clothes. Damn.., them were the days!

  • I loved this album when it hit, i was a junior in high school. I still love this album. It was a great first album as young brothers. When Johnny joined I remember thinking, someones on top of things, Johnny will bring that grownup voice to the group.I was right

  • OMG, I had this album cover on my wall and I used to stare at it for days! I loved me some bobby brown back then! I love New Edition!!!!

  • went to the New Edition(Ralph, bobby and Johnny cpl weeks ago. they are still on top of their game!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Johnny was just being a friend to his friends. He is a great team mate. Johnny thought Ralph had actually left the team, so he joined to help. Its in all the interviews. Mike spoke on Ralph dissing his mom when he missed the performance in Memphis.

  • Johnny came in to replace Ralph...all have spoke on it except Bobby. Bobby thought Johnny was his replacement, but he was recruited to replace Ralph. Mike & Ralph seem to have the most issue with one another

  • Here something to think about. The original 5 are street niggas...they from the Hood. So I understand totally what Bobby was going through. This first album was a street record. Aint no pop songs on it. They went pop when they dropped My Secret. I think Ricky Bell & Mike Bivens had the most issues with Ralph & Bobby. They didnt like Ralph getting all the shine & Bobby takng his shine. Thats exactly what was going on.

  • 1983 was the year i think freshman in college.this song says it all

  • johnny was originally brought in to replace ralph. but, bobby bounced before it happened. so they kept ralph instead.

  • @msred06 they was not thinking NE without Ralph is not going to work. They kept Ralph b/c mca was not with them without Rizz. So bbd how did that humble pie taste

  • personally i didnt know who ralph was i mostly knew all the other but him lol and i noticed he was the spot light in alot of the songs.

  • @FreshPrinceof973 Actually Johnny was there to replace Ralph...they made the doo wop album with 4 members and Raplh was about to go solo so Mike as johnny to join the group and Raplh said u cant replace me and he came back and it made it five again

  • Ralph was recording his shelved solo album living in a dream around the time when Bobby got voted out. I think it was either Mike or all three recruited Johnny to replace Ralph. RobNEHistorian has an interview with Ralph on youtube that explains this situation among other things.

  • @FreshPrinceof973 i feel what you sayin

  • this brings me back to my gheri curl/ with a shag in the back rockin' days in elementary school

  • @FreshPrinceof973 bobby was voted out by the other four.later on they thought ralph was going to go solo so they found johnny to replace him and ralhp was surprise when he found out. look on youtube homie and live enterviews.

  • @FreshPrinceof973 the fact is that you are wrong homie. read and listen and you will know more. no disrespect but you are wrong matter of speaking how old are you.if you not 30 plus you dont know new edition history please listen.

  • @FreshPrinceof973 johnny was to be ralph replacement because they thought he was going to leave the group. you got to know your new edition history

  • Comment removed

  • Johnny was Ralph's replacement. scootsie119 is on the money.

  • @FreshPrinceof973 no he wasnt booted he was jsut doing his own thing but pushed it back.Ralph said ti himself in a fe winterviews oneshere on youtube, and they tlak about soem of it on their heads of state shows.

ROBNYCNEHISTORIAN search him its like an 8 part thing but its part 3 or 4 i think

  • NE was so wise beyond their young years! They truly wrote the soundtrack to back in the day! Everybody has went through the Jealous Girl or Jealous Boy phase(I know, I know, I had to make it plain)! Peace to Qmitch2, always on the NE facts and peace to ABC, for doing this for the kids that came after us, or from us! Peace!

  • i like ABC'S JEALOUS GIRL BETTER

    RALPH SOUNDS LIKE A FAG

  • @TraeVann12 dat's not even ralph dat's bobby

  • @TraeVann12 dude are you serious their still young thats why he sounds like that abc cant even sing but i do like abc's but not better.

  • @FreshPrinceof973 no way. they were still great but bobby was better than gill, no offense to gill i like him too and love it better when all six of them are on an album.

also gill wasnt really bobby replacement he was ralphs. ralph was gonna do solo and the other wanted to move on wiht NE so they got gill and MCA said no Ralph no NE, so ralph put everything on hold cuz thats the kinda guy he is.

  • mp3iffy works again wooohoooo awesome - google mp3iffy

  • mase's version sucks

  • Always loved this song since '83 and sorry Sorry ABC should have never remade this song and definitley not MASE

  • Both this version and Mase's "Jealous guy" are good.

  • @gahan101 i like dmase's too but that was more as a joke i think. ABC's version i think is just as good.

  • YES! Classic. :)

  • ooo woo woooo woooo woooo mase n diddy jealous guy!!!!

  • king chyldz dontplay spreading love its the brooklyn way reality reach open that book

  • ABC remake it not better than this. BBD made the adlibs for abc hooks better that's all.

  • @314temptation if you are talking about who sang the background on ABC's version of jealous girl, that was actually Boyz II Men

  • ABC remake it not better than this. BBD made the adlibs for abc hooks better that's all.

  • Yeah man I' m reminiscing back in elementary on this one..lol... way back hell naww this the cut y'all...

  • @314temptation how old are you.

  • Do they have a video for this song?

  • . Omq Diss Myy Jamm !!!!! DAMN Diss Ahh ' Cutt Riqht Here ( Fella'sz Dere'sz Ahh ' Jealous Girl in Our Town ; Aww Baby ] !

  • When i hear this song, I always picture them singing this at a bar with the lights dim, with a live band in the background. NE for life. AND EVERYBODY SUNG ON THIS TRACK. Ronnie sung at 4:32 & Mike talked.

  • Bobby ripped this one!!!

  • "I just can't take no more of you tryna be my lover!" dis is my ish!

  • Jealous girl is a beautiful song. When New Edition put this version out i was 14 or 15 yrs. old, so i truly know this version is better than ABC's version. Thiers was good but not better than N.E.

  • I'll you young buck this is the original joint..

i knew that i was going to marry ralph..

Another bad creation can't touch New Edition!!!

  • Heck no, I know some people heard ABC's first, but nothing can knock the original....lol

  • nothing like original music

  • @gemia81

Those pretentious 5 and 6 year olds, not quite

  • LOL!!! thats a good one there!

  • for real high pitch voices

  • you where 7

  • what you mean abc

  • i was born in 75 and my mother used to play dis all the time when i was 7. 1983 good year

  • @Justus410 U sho right!!

  • Ralph and Bobby both had high voices but you can tell the difference between the two because Bobby is singing lead.

  • that sure is bobby

  • Comment removed

  • Al Green's (Simply Beautiful)...Thank You, Jesus...

  • i was born in 74 grew up in the 80's my big sis and her friends were crazy over these boys, played this song all the time CLASSIC

  • for real

  • That's Ralph Tresvant

  • Is this Bobby singing lead?

  • yep

  • I have to admit they are talking about me in this song!!!!!

  • I jus love New Edition

  • it was hard to tell the difference between ricky and bobby voices when they were young

  • I think bobby brown was meant to be in the group without him there songs were dead

  • they voted bobby out n he became bigger then the group was it was a lol matter when that happened, then they got johnny n it was a ok group again it was good 4 awhile, then bbd said if bobby can do so can we, n johnny did it but poor ralph every 1 thought cuz he sang lead he would be micheal num 2 n it didnt happen but as a whole n.e is the shit, long live n.e. i love them, now bobby tripping n still makin kids, he never finish paying for his other kids, i say but do u bobby, love ya.

  • @SuperDaddyb What the hell are you trying to say ??? LOL... Sorry dude but I can't understand a thing you're trying to say...!! Try some correct spelling and a little punctuation... LMAO

  • init LOOOL !!

  • @SuperDaddyb they was okay actuallygood but they didn't come out with a real album with out Bobby.OR Gill they had they one album With Earth Angel But they was always great they proba;em if anything was some of the corny white songs they had to sing. That hurted them if anything

  • true the group was better with bobby

  • N.E. is my fav group all time its refreshing to hear someone else have a lead instead of ralph.I love ralph but n.e. in the 80's did not utilize all the talent in that group as bobby and ricky proved they could sing as well as ralph.

  • SICK SONG

  • VERY Cute Song

  • Just for people who may not know that much about NE, This is Bobby Brown singing lead, with Ralph, Ricky, & Mike having a few parts. Ralph begins at 3:12 shouting "There's a Jealous Girl.....In Our Town", & singing softly in the background while Mike's talking. Ricky begining at 4:23. At 4:32, it may be Ronnie or Bobby. During this time in "83", it's hard to tell the difference in their voices.

  • Michael Jackson

  • To MJ11442-80% of pre -Johnny Gill New Edition songs are based on Jackson 5 songs. New Edition creator Maurice Star's goal was to fill the boy band void by creating an 80s version of the Jackson 5. Ralph was the lead singer because he voice resembled Michael Jackson. When the group parted ways with star, new producers kept the Jackson 5 formula. Bobby began to reject the material and was voted out of the group

  • This sounds like the song I found that girl by Jackson 5 listen to it.

  • it really does lol

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i don't know

  • a classic!

  • naw this 1 is better

  • who do yall think sang it better???i say abc

  • this one is better

  • yeah right

  • They basically told the others to be background singers and as Bobby said he hated playing the back he likes to be upfront he and Ralph were the group's lead singers but MCA made it look like Ralph was the only lead singer. They did that with a lot of groups they had Immature, Soul For Real, and maybe others.

  • I'm talking about later on they took the whole group as a joke actually you see they were screwed over at MCA and with Maurice Starr.

  • Even funnier was when Mase sung this song 14 years later.

  • omg that was fucking hilarious and P Diddy

  • that was a true classic ,,,i like the end when puffy tried to hold that note

  • @Krazy3912: I'm dying laughing at that shit right now! Diddy iz a mess. (at least 112 sound good.) LMAO.

  • Bobby Brown sounded funny singing while listening his adolescent voice crack.

  • yeah i though only ABC sung this ..sweet

  • this song has a nice video to it, i can't find it, someone send me a link

  • classices..my bro went 2 picc up the album..then we would roccc it till it plead 4 mercy...the 45 had this & popcorn love on the b side...oooo..man...new is this the end video out on video music box..channel 31...2much..

  • my cousin have this album and she used to play it everyday

  • Oh man, I forgot that they had this song out. Love it.

  • This is educational...I never knew New Edition did this song first. All I knew was Another Bad Creations version...

  • How about I just said the same thing in my mind lol! Seriously though this is like my first day knowing they had this song wow.

  • i originally thought that too because i completely forgot that new edition sang it first.

  • Mike said Bobby sang lead because Ralph was getting the majority of the leads over him so he spoke up and wanted the lead so he got it. The execs at MCA forced Bobby to be a background singer in the group and that didn't fit his personality and so he was forced out Mike said he told Bobby in time you and Ralph will be sharing leads but MCA kept keeping Bobby in the back and so everything fell apart as Bobby wasn't happy being no background singer. He never wanted to leave but the label forced it

  • They were not on MCA when this song was recorded.

  • Classic!!! Brings back memories.

  • i lov new edition .yall still the shit.
