    Customer Reviews:

Received it two days ago. This will pass as a fine dress watch. It looks really nice and elegant while it clearly suggests that it's a function oriented watch: solar, dive watch to 200m, bezle, diver's extension bracelet, simple design..., etc. I took out three links to make it fit my wrist. The ...

  • Re: Seiko Sportura World Timer Chrono Review

This is a great watch. I actually have it with the chrome band. I would love to have another one with the leather band, but understand they are no longer being made. Do you know if one can still get them and, if so, where?

    Many thanks

  • @deescuba If you do a Google Shopping search on the name of the watch you can find a couple of places that sell them, although they're no sites I've ever heard of. Alternatively, there's one with a metal band on ebay right now for less than $150. You could buy that and then get a replacement leather band from watchbandsonline. Scroll down until you see SEIKO DIVER BANDS. There's a leather strap on that page.

  • @nikudes Many thanks for your kind follow-up, including the watch band. I am trying to contact some of these websites and see if they are real.

Have you ever seen other worldwatches with the same concept, where the lcd is in the background with world times. I think it is great as it does not clutter the watch.

  • @deescuba No worries. The only other watch I know of that has an analog face with digital world time in the background is the Citizen Skyhawk / Navihawk line. It's a pilot's watch with a complex (but satisfying) face and slide rule bezel. Mine has the additional feature that you can program which timezones you'd like to have appear in the set that you scroll through on the face of the watch. If you look through my videos, you'll see a review. It's the Citizen Navihawk 2000GT.

  • @nikudes Citizen Promaster Navitach World Time. Good luck finding one. Discontinued for quite a while now. I've had mine for about 12 years and still think it's one of the more useful and attractive watches without all the clutter of the Skyhawk series. No offense intended to those who like/have one, just to much for me. The new Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster SST looks like it might be a worthy addition to my collection.

  • This watch is HEAVY , and rubber bands in 400 $ Seiko watches break easy ,

Does anyone know where to get Seiko rubber bands.

  • @aviomaster This particular watch only weights 3oz. (85g) and the strap is leather. For watch bands try searching for "replacement watch bands." A number of options come up.

  • Want one :D

  • wow almost fully digital as well.if it easy to change the battery no need to be solar.solar battery dies too.they kinda useless.....

  • Sweet watch.

  • Agree with ealier comment no solar /backlight. Shame otherwise a great watch.

nikudes could you give me an opinion on the citizen Citizen JY0075-54E Promaster Carbon Chronograph ? I really looking for ano/digi combo. Thanks

  • That watch looks similar to a Citizen watch that I have. Generally I like it. The interface is also a lot easier to work with than some other Citizens I own. When I post a review of that watch, I'll link it here.

  • @qa1001xz If you look for the Citizen Navihawk 2000GT in my videos you'll see a review of a watch that's similar the Promaster Carbon Chronograph.

  • To bad its not Atomic and Solar. :( Casio has watches that never need batterie replacement nor time adjustments.

  • Love the Japanese watches. I don't care for their cars but their watches are the are the most cutting edge.

  • Anda kurtkob, si es como el tuyo ¬_¬

  • ostias pos no ke es verdad????!?!?!

  • Does it have a countdown timer ? also is there a backlight in this watch ?

  • It has neither. The feature set isn't that expansive.

  • man, I'd be sold if it had a backlight.

  • um

    nice watch

  • Big thanks for review. Does anybody know, is that true that after 7 years display fails? So, after that period you need to buy new ones or do some expensive service?

  • egnbjork, the display won't fail catastrophically after 7 years. Just like any LCD, it will loose contrast as it ages, though. The rate at which it does so is proportionate to numerous factors including the amount of time it's been exposed to sunlight. After reading that in the owners manual, I was curious myself.

  • Hi guys, I'm a happy H023 user :). I have a problem with turning on day&display function(disappearens of digital display). I don't know how to turn on that function. I'm waiting for answers. THX

  • Did you look in the manual? You can download a pdf of it from Seiko. Quickly, here's how. Hold the upper-left (UL) button for 2-3 seconds to go into set mode. Press UR button to scroll through the different items to set (hours, min., etc.). Keep pressing it until you see the whole display flash. Press the LR button to turn the display on or off. You can choose between the whole display or just day/date. Press the UL button to exit setting mode.

  • I've made it :). Thanks a lot nikudes :)

    Seiko RULEZ heheh

  • WOW.. that's very funny to play with this watch

  • Noticed that the minute hand is running one minute behind the digital display. Is that something that can be corrected/adjusted?

  • Good eye. Yes, the position of the hands can be corrected in the time-setting mode.

  • yes it can be adjusted.

  • does it have a light though?

  • No, unfortunately there's no light on this one, just the illuminated hands and "numerals."

  • Thanks for posting this video. Good information on this watch is difficult to find and this is the only video I've seen demonstrating the functions of the watch.

It was a huge factor in convincing me to buy the watch!

  • Thanks, glad it was helpful!

  • I am a huge fan of the Seiko H023 ana-digi world time movement. Last week I ordered a new Seiko SNJ017 flight computer watch that uses this same exact H023 movement as the Sportura versions (There are a few variants). The Seiko SNJ017 is the only non-Sportura model that offers the H023 movement for nearly $100 less than the Sportura SNJ007 featured in the review.

  • cool review, thanks

  • really great watch =)

got a spc001p1, looking now for one of theese world timer chronograph, i love double display concept.

thanks a lot for this vid!!!

  • no worries. hope you enjoy it.
