Lyz normally makes all the deserts, but this year mom let Sarah Lee do it.
That is funny about your mishap at OutBack.. lol We have a restuarant here called FudRuckers, and they have a desert called Mother Fudder's brownie, & I once had an ordering mishap involving THAT product... yeah... I am sure you can imagine what i ordered. the waitress was not amused.
im 38 seconds into this, and just read the "more info" and almost coughed up a lung laughing. also- watering plants. love you. omg. love you so so much. <3
I always prefer doing all that "prep" work the night before! Helps to make the cooking easier and gives more time to visit the peeps (and drink)! ha! I'm just cooking a couple of cakes this year, I didn't want to bake all the pies! lol YES...the oven cleaner works! I think it gets real hot and just burns the crap and leaves a pile of ash! LOL
I'm glad I got to share the ice tea moment with you...LOL

I apologize for laughing out loud when you were telling us about the iced tea.
Why did the guy say you're a crazy driver? What did you do that he thought was so bad?
My husband does most of the planning, shopping, and cooking for Thanksgiving. I just dust off the turkey salt and pepper shakers and stay out of his way.
I'm glad my husband doesn't know that if the oven accidentally gets put in self-cleaning mode, it will be out of commission for 4 hours. He's a compulsive worrier. Just this morning he was worried that our turkey will either be stinking bad (like last year) or it won't be fully thawed out to cook on Thanksgiving Day--even though he moved it from the freezer to the refrigerator Sunday evening. This year he's going to make cranberry sauce from scratch because one of his coworkers does it that way.
i hate my oven... hahaha i have done the self cleaning.. self cleaning is kinda like burning the stuff off.. last year my hubby had dropped something in the bottom of the over and when i clicked the self clean well around an hour after i clicked it my hubby came running in the living room yelling "there is a fire in the oven" HAHAHA and yeah it could be canceled lol

We use to have a Jack in the Box by me. But it closed. I think it was the only one in the Chicagoland area.

My stove is 20 y/o I don't dare use the oven cleaner. It probably burn down the oven HA. I loved the book The Blind Side can't wait to see the movie.
