NYU...a normal day in New York City

Question: Is it easy to make friends? I'm out of state so if I decide to go, I'd know no one. I'm fairly shy so I don't want to be by myself in the big city? :\

@animelover67 I don't know anything about the programs but you'll prob get your moneys worth b/c any job you apply for will be impressed that you went to NYU and you'll be more likely to get the job that is, if you make a good impression and have the credentials. It's mainly known for Tisch school of the arts (film school and blahh) but idk about the others, they are equally the best for sure.

@animelover67 You'll def make friends, especially since 80% of the freshmen will be from out of state and everyone will try to fit in so don't hold back , be friendly, and talkative others will be happy if you talk to them. It's a lot easier to make friends at NYU then at local NY colleges like the CUNY's b/c those have native new yorkers, and they aren't as friendly If you have more questions, ask.You'll do fine, hope that helped, good luck!

My cousin is the one that attends NYU and I attend a college 20 mins away from the city. I can start vlogging about the city and just showing it around (like times square) if you would like that.

I used to think that. All I could think about is moving here. Now I live here and I'm sick of the lifestyle. If you do plan on moving one day prepare for lots of walking and public transit. Its a fast pace lifestyle and harsh as well. Don't get me wrong though I love this city! There are cons and pros, as with any other.

I live within an hour of NYC, so I go there often enough to be able to see what it's like, though I know it would be very different to rely on the walking/public transit and stuff every day.

Just a side note, its hard to get into (competitive, so work hard :)) and it's really expensive, other than that its a nice environment except there's no normal campus. When you go to your classes you are literally walking outside in traffic around tourists just to get to class.

It's in between china town and little italy, so when you walk out everything is right there! The locations in NY are super awesome.
