The Third Man is perhaps the best film of all time. The script, acting, direction, photography, settings, etc., make most other films seem trite and amateurish.

Samari9's got it figgered out. It IS one of the all-time great movies-flat five star on a four star scale. The chase scene in the end is fucking incredibly well done-as is the whole thing.Possibly the best use ever made of film.
