Space Hulk was my favorite game for 3DO back then. Some missions were hard like hell, which made me try even harder.

As for this music, I'm pretty sure I've heard it either in Unreal or Operation Na Pali for UT.

I SO wish somebody would bring this game into the NG age, I'd never play anything else. I still boot up my 3DO for the sole purpose of playing this game.

This, to this day, remains one of my favorite games ever. I have been waiting for a sequel forever. Now I see war hammer is coming out on the ps3. Looking forward to it, that's for sure. I assume it's going to be a rpg/ shooter. If so, that's going to be great. But yeah, Space Hulk was a great one. I remember playing religiously, but I couldn't beat it. I think I got to the part where the enemy stars disapearing on you. I finally gave up. "pluuuuvious, my bolter is jammed"!!!!! haha great video!

Space Hulk on 3DO is still one of my favourite games in spite of the advent of the PS3 and 360 etc. .

The ambience and style of this game was outstanding, even though the 'horsepower' to drive the game engine was insufficient for the most part.

In spite of all the games that have come after it, I still boot up Space Hulk on my 3DO often, for the visceral thrills, scares and action it offers.

I loved the game so much, I named my first son "Matthius!", no joke.

There shouldn't be any darkness in these maps. Astartes biological enhancements allow them see in low lighting. It should be as bright as day. Also, their helmet's auto-senses have night vision, heat vision, etc.

This was my favorite game for years.

I'd much rather play this type ot strategy fps than the "tactical" fps of today.

@Banminator the npcs only fire when theres reason to or they've been instructed to cover an area with supperessing fire.

Theres plenty of reason to fire alot as you get constant streams of genestealers & often rack up 100s of kills per hour if you want "any chance" to survive,

This game came out for PC & there was a 3DO port as well.

The basic plot is a giagantic space hulk warps into the system.

You are then sent in as 1 of the space marines to investigate the ship.

The game has virtual missions & a campaign mode with 20 missions stung together with a story.

You play 1 (random) character in campaign mode. Trying to get through the ship while being joined by other marines along the way.

The NPC characters get better at combat w experience.

There was some strategy games, but I think they are all step-time, because all the 40K games always had great AI writers and the games were hard man! So Liberation, Chaos Gate, Dark Omen, are all Warhammer strategy games,but not real-time.

i got this game for my 3d0, which i still have both and both are in working order, i played this game for about 5 years on and off.... but i would play in 2 month blocks... beat every mission, but the end campain levels i didnt beat utill my 5th year playing. the grandest of games, would love to see it re done.

Wow remember getting this game on my birthday from my dad when it was brand new. Had a 133Mhz Pentium back then and jesus christ this game was addictive, scary and just stunning for its time. I never completed it, got stuck on one of the later missions when they weaved in too many Chaos Space Marines & Cultists.

I remember my dad got this game and we didn't know what Warhammer was all about. All we knew was that this game was the closest anyone has ever gotten to truely giving the player the same thrill, fear, and action one gets from watching the movie "Aliens".
