If the black vulcan talked like Samuel Jackson's character from Pulp Fiction this could've been a hit. That throaty voice of she-kirk should've put the crew into multiple mutinies.
I wish I had the later seasons on DVD. Alas, Paramount still feels the need to charge some $50 per set. I just can't afford that. This was truly a terrific show, and it's 24th century time period gives it this "timeless" look. It doesn't date nearly as much as most shows from the 1990's. Also, a bit of trivia... The "Year of Hell" two-parter was originally going to be a year-long arc. UPN said no to the serial nature, but they finally gave in for the third-season Xindi saga on Enterprise.
I am a HUGE fan of this serious, I go to freakin Star Trek Conventions in vegas just because of Voyager, but I didn't get into it till like the 5th season and was emotionally hooked. I could only imagine what it was like to be all into this show during it's prime, when Voyager shit was all over the place in stores, now, I have to do all my shopping on ebay.
I seriously sometimes think that nobody even cared how many viewers did a show have in late 90's... Canceled show was something that didn't exist back then. I miss Voyager, I loved watching it.
They make it look like interesting series on this trailer (BTW Seven were written in after the almost canclation no?(not to go into the whole borg queen issue that arose like 3 or 2 last episodes)... this must be DVD prelaunch if it indeed is prelaunch...) how wery disturbing.. the series had some good ideas but they were choked in simmilar manner as they were killed off in ENT and XI.... shame reallly
I love how it says "A diverse group of Starfleet officers", then it shows a black guy, a white guy and an asian guy. Equality's in the bag in the future.
LOL I think it was probably better than Enterprise but this trailer certainly does typify the flawed approach Voyager took, "explosions = good, who cares about anything else?"
Ah this trailer makes up for Threshold doesn't it?

@snowpeck,
Is that why it's so corny?

I'm rather confused. Is this the promo for the DVD release?
I don't remember this being a TV promo for the launch of ST: VOY.

@intelboy15 This is a film sent to stations back when the weekday reruns started to try to get them to buy the show.

Seven of Nine? Struggling to find her humanity and obey her captain?
Jesus, even the advertisements are full of subtext. Was there a stun phaser involved, too?

It wasn't the best Trek...but it was far from the worse. Great Trek Moments say Voyager contributed big time.

Probably the worst Trek.
