Since reading his memoirs and watching this interview, my view on George W Bush has changed and I respect him far more than when I first did. I'm glad he was President at the time and America and the world should be grateful for his and Tony Blair's efforts to eliminate elements responsible for 9/11.

No, he didn't have a "strategy" - meaning he didn't know exactly how he was going to 1- protect the nation 2- find out who was responsible & deliver justice 3 - take care of all the injured and dead 4 - restore the mentality of the american people. Who would have the all-encompassing knowledge to know exactly how to handle all these things immediately? There were so many variables. He was honest, he had goals - "protect the country from any other attacks and clean up after the ones that occurred

I have to agree with a lot of the people here. WHO asked him whether Iraq was involved? You can tell in his tone that he didn't like the fact that someone would bring Iraq into the incident. He has the tone of someone who has been rudely interrupted with someone unrelated.

Iraq was pegged to this whole thing VERY early on, and you can tell even Bush himself felt they were irrelevant to the whole thing. I smell a rat.
