Dairy can make them sick when they're older if they haven't been drinking it all their lives, because they lose the ability to digest it. Plenty of barn cats get a bit of milk every day with no harm done.

Love the vids of him when he's grown up and fat. :) You did such a good job for him.

Yeah, i am pretty sure the owners of the kittehs are spoiling them. Lots of strays out there from irresponsible people. Note that not all cats are lactose intolerant. Milk is perfectly fine, and in fact good, for a cat that shows no problem drinking it.

I went through your videos of this adorible kitty Mew. It is so cool you kept him and nursed him back to health. All kitties should be so lucky to find great people like you. I work at a trash company and found my cat at 6mo old in a dumpster. I had to keep her, her name is MEUW (me-you), because of the way she meows. It been 11 years since and totally worth the late night scratch and meow sessions. I hope you and your kitty get alot of great years

Cats their age shouldnt be drinking cows milk. Cats any age shouldnt be drinking cows milk actually but the youngsters have more problems from it. The lactose really upsets cats stomachs and causes digestive pain and problems.

This kitten is ok for eating solid foods anyway, milk is irrelevant and you should provide water instead.

Also, it was unwise to feed him solid food without knowing whether he could handle it since he was half the weight he should have been at this point in his life.

Milk is actually pretty bad for cats, especially kittens. It gives them the runs which can dehydrate them to the point of actually killing them. Cats are actually lactose intolerant. You're better off getting some canned cat food specially made for kittens and just mash it up into a paste and mix some warm water with is so it's really runny. They have no problems eating this and it doesn't wreck their digestive system.
