  • lol what about that slow Goa'uld voice xD

  • @ZzMattizZ A calm Goa'uld. ;)

  • your voice is so boring that i fell aslep :D nice vidio though

  • @supadupasqwid I know, I have a calming voice. ;)

  • If he called the paper "this thing" i was gonna have a spas attack.

  • @h43442 *chuckle* I had to watch my video again to see what you meant. A lot of demonstrative pronouns were indeed used.

  • goauld voice... really

  • @xXbrowniesnthingsXx Yes, really.

  • Ohhh man, the sexual connotations behind you testing the iris with your hand are screaming out.

  • @sh1znack Well, that's one way of seeing an iris opened by my hand. ;)

  • bahahahaha the fuckin man. the last part was win. i was thinkign... wait... why the heck is his voice masked.... then the ending. made me batmanahaha.jpg

  • @OnimeNoRice Oh yeah, I'm that good. :P

  • Sorry, I was a bit pissed off

At the end after it is all done I was trying for ages to get the pieces to align propelly and they just wouldnt fit, then after about 30 min I gave up

  • @nathybathy Were all the pieces similar to each other? It would simplify so much to use a machine to carve the pieces out of metal from a CAD drawing because that would make it absolutely perfect. It is a little bit tricky to get the blades overlap each other but it can be done. If you still have the pieces, could you send the pic to my twitter? Link at my channel.

  • @Sumfera Sorry but I dont have the pieces any more but they were all almost identical

  • @nathybathy Hm, ok. Perhaps give it another try?

  • @Sumfera I might soon, my school has a lazer cutter so I could use that to make them identical

  • @nathybathy A laser cutter? Dang, that's precision.

  • @Sumfera Or a wrist device?

  • @Sumfera Or a wrist ribbon device?

  • @MatchstalkMan How would a wrist ribbon device aid you in precision cutting?

  • stfu i did exactly what you said to do and it didnt work u wasted a fucking hour of my life you asshole

  • @nathybathy It takes more than an hour and seeing it only took you an hour you didn't do it right. It takes time and precision but I'm glad you actually tried. Show me how you made yours so I can see where you went wrong. Oh, no curses. K? Thanks

  • What !

  • @radek533 Pardon?

  • r u a goaoold

  • @mario61346production How dare you?? I'm a Tok'ra. lol

  • OMG YOU ARE SUCH A HOMIE I LOVE U

  • @zaucella Hehe. Thanks.

  • What planet are you from? Which Stargate world? I Love your voice....... :-) :-P

  • @Thissiteisapain Oh I'm from Sateda. I got away from the wraith and met some Tok'ra after a few years. Very nice blending. Win-win.

    Thank you. :)

  • @Sumfera Maybe I can come and be of some help......

  • @Thissiteisapain I'm sure you could be of help.

  • THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!!

  • @eoqazzaq You're welcome.

  • Time to get the materials.. Hmm, I'll steal them from Atlantis hiding beside California.

  • @isaaccade Oh but you need to get past their shields. ;)

Btw, why didn't they think of a big pole the size of the hole and insert it when the gate is not in use? That way Anubis's something something that heated up the iris wouldn't work. Would have the same effect as burying the gate.

  • for an Iris scaled to standard fantasy minis [1"=5' Scale] go to a local theatrical lighting store or look on ebay for an Iris that goes to an Altman Leko. depending on condition and supply, they should run around $20

  • @Lightman0359 Ah, I'm sure that's a great way to get an iris but will there be the same amount of blades? Will it close the same way with the tips overlapping each other or just like standard iris where the tips meet?

  • @Sumfera there is some overlap to ensure no light escapes

  • @Lightman0359 Ah, but with overlap there will be a hole in the middle unless the blades get thinner near the origin.

  • ive finally made it, except i think i made my blades too big. i put it together and it was all crazy and not alligned at well as yours is. im deff thinking they are too big.

  • @luigi1227 Hm, make a video of it so I can see where it went wrong?

  • I'm curious. Do you happen to have the template for the miniature iris written down? The size of the rings, the blades and such. I ask because I'm afraid I might screw up my attempt if I play it by ear. If not, thanks anyway for showing how it actually works. I always thought the construction was something that could only exist in fiction. ;)

  • @ThePieIsLie I do not have a template for the iris. That was the whole point of this video - to do it by hand. If you just do what I'll do it'll work. No need to make it exact. Go by feeling. When you make a huge metal one you'll be wanting to use a template. :P

    I'm glad I could help. ;)

  • I guess I could start with the metal one. Gotta run sometimes before you walk....

You wouldn't happen to have the phone number for Cheyenne mountain would you? I'll need their template!

  • @ThePieIsLie Start off with the metal one? I'm not sure that's the best idea. You could however make one like I did and have aluminium foil around every part.

    Ah, but I do have their phone number. +1 (719) 554-6889. ;D

  • Holy hell, it's a goa'uld, SHOOT IT!

  • @ThePieIsLie Hah! I've got my personal shield.

  • thank you =)

  • @jjsupergriff12345678 You're welcome. ;)

  • Ik i Will xd

  • @Andrew1332kd Sweet.

  • Coolest Iris iv ever seen il be making alot of those xD

  • @Andrew1332kd awesome. Thanks. Will you show them afterwards?

  • lol at the ending. Great vid.

  • Hehe. Thanks.

  • interestint tutorial, thanks :)

  • You're welcome. :)

  • NICE, I LOVE IT! its much simpler than i thought. thanks!

  • Sweet. You're welcome. Make a video when you've finished your iris?

  • thats awesome!

  • Sure is!

  • THATS SO AWESOME now if i can just make it.. haha.. and place it inside my cardboard stargate some how. dont know how im going to since i want the inside of mine to be able to spin, havent quite figured out how to do that yet either.

  • You want the inside to spin? I thought it would be the outside. Anyhow, I think you'll need it to be made out of metal or plastic so you get some thickness which will be on bearings so it'll rotate with ease.

Thanks for liking my iris. :)

  • Whoa that looks hard. well not hard, just like it takes a lot of patience.

  • 5h to make iris. 4h to edit video. Slept at 6.15am and up now at 1pm.

Btw, how's no Twitter, DB and fb going?

  • It's going well. But I'm still on fb x] heh heh, couldn't give it up.

  • AHA! Busted! As I thought. What prize do I get for winning?

  • None! You shoulda bet on something since you didn't, there's no proof you actually thought that ;]

  • None?? Yes there is. IGC - international gambling committee.

  • "hell yeah! i did it.." xD

  • Hehe. Yeah. XD
