You could've got some Kicker CVX's or L7's for LESS than you paid for those Arc's.

Well you musta had some duds then. You just got unlucky and got some faulty ones. What model were the Kickers you had? You said you had solobarics. The only two solobaric subs Kickers makes are the squares, the L5's and the L7's. And I know both of those two subs can take 1500 watts easy. I had a Hifonics 1600 watt amp on two Kicker CVR 12's and those CVR's was laughing at that 1600 watts. I had to buy a stronger amp to satisfy them.

LOL, just got my 99 STS back in May. Sub still works but I'm installing my 2 12" W3's in a High Output Box on Monday. I plan on removing the sub to allow more air flow into the cabin
80,7XX i'm on cadillac forums and i've read about the Head Gaskets going. i only spent $7k with 68k miles on it, and i like the car so if they decide to blow i'll most likely get it fixed. i've spent about that much on my system. lol

Here's a tip, if the car starts rough idling and spark plugs/wires don't work then go to a GM Dealer and pay to have the Cooling System Flush and ATF Exchange. I did that today and now my car runs quiet and no rough idle. Its weird as fuck. Coolant change is always good if you don't have any proof it has been done.

80,7XX i'm on cadillac forums and i've read about the Head Gaskets going. i only spent $7k with 68k miles on it, and i like the car so if they decide to blow i'll most likely get it fixed. i've spent about that much on my system. lol

I was bein cheap and didn't because Cadillac puts insulation in the cars from the factory. compare the road noise of a honda civic to a cadillac and listen to the difference but i'm not satisfied.

Here's a tip, if the car starts rough idling and spark plugs/wires don't work then go to a GM Dealer and pay to have the Cooling System Flush and ATF Exchange. I did that today and now my car runs quiet and no rough idle. Its weird as fuck. Coolant change is always good if you don't have any proof it has been done.
