  • Guard moved "on purpose" prior to snap. Tony was small , but he was really slow.

  • YUCK.

  • the game was in little rock you dumbshit

  • I do remember this so well. I can remember when Jones scored the TD I was yelling and screaming all over the house and My dad was jumping up and down saying." Please no flags". Wonderful memory my dad and I shared.

  • Something isn't right with this video. First tony jones is short (5-7'). The guy lining up on the left does not look that short. Second, at about 8-9 seconds into the video, there are 2 receivers coming off to the left, NO receivers up top on the right side of the field. The video switches back to a shot of McWilliams on the sideline then there are two wideouts lined up there.

  • look at 0:05 seconds he's in the huddle.

  • Was this 1989 or 1987?

  • It was 1987. The extra point or points weren't even tried. Back then only the scoring team could score on the extra point.

  • @PhillipCreeper All they would have had to do is kneel anyway, even if there was defensive scoring possible.

  • @Statalyzer I agree. I don't know if they would have made them run the play if the defense could score then but I am sure as what you have pointed out that it is exactly what they would have done. It would have just been a waste of time.

  • there's nothing like silence in fayetteville....i love how much they hate TEXAS :)

    HOOK 'EM HORNS!

  • the game was in Little Rock

  • I remember this like it was yesterday. We were at the 13, but had a penalty that pushed us back to the 18 and then...well, you saw it. Tony Jones became a "go-to" guy after that play....

  • I was at that game about 12 years old. That last second play made me physically ill.

  • Great catch! The pass went where it needed too and Mr. Jones held on to it spite of good defensive play. Hook 'em!

  • Great post; no one seems to ever talk about this game - - maybe because it was in the dark days of the late 80's - - but it was a good one. Britt Hager played like a man possessed that day on D; Hogs had no answer for him as I recall.

  • How in the WORLD did that guy hang on to the ball with the Hogs safety all over him? Great Play!

  • not the prettiest throw, but it gets the job done. i'd like to see this rivalry back. go horns!

  • nice.

  • what a catch!! hook'em
