Oh man I'm so glad you scrapped this project. Not that the fan collab is a bad idea, but just this game holds such a tremendous place in my heart (quite possibly being my very first serious, health-debilitating addiction), that I was really wanting you to do this review with your own unique brand of commentary. Zelda might work. Or you could do a collab of fans singing your intro song, or maybe the whole song.
I think, walk trough and comments about TMNT 1 could work better. I have hard time beat this game (even on an emulator) . TMNT2 was a cool game, but didn't have much to comment on : it's just straight forward and beat them all up.
@timsalmons1982 Maniac Mansion sounds like the better of the two- lots of variety, not just among the characters, but also with the different paths, glitch exploits, and endings (Bernard and Wendy in the party can get you a hilarious one if you time things right). With all the options available, it should make a collab more of a fun project that stands a chance of being better than some of the other review collabs I've seen.
def batman the video game for the fan collaboration and i really hope you end up doing tmnt 2 and 3, especially 2 ive been waiting for that review forever lol
Ever Heard of Digger T. Rock? [NES] Has a lot of potensial as it's made by Rare, & the 6th level Music sounds like that of Battletoads Level 4! And I also have 2 Remixes of the Music for you to use at your Disposal! ;)
River City Ransom. It's a good beat 'em up that most gamers know, and to the experienced player, there are specific and unique areas, shops, and bosses to share knowledge.
To be fair, in my humble opinion, the most you could get out of the review/walkthrough on TMNT2 is a strategy on the bosses and maybe the stage select and 10 lives codes.
I completely forgot you where doing this fan collab and I still have the original file that I sent you for level 4 the ice stage. Well it's ok you decided to pull the plug on this maybe it's for the best.
Whatever dude. Just keep reviewing games from our era and I'll be there to support your channel. Suggestion for a game: maybe Ducktales. Either way, I like your vids because you feature NES games and you give an honest review. Your the meng, meng.
Wow, I have not heard from this collab review in like two years. It's a drag that it isn't going to be released but it has its reasons. I would highly sugguest Earthbound. mostly because just about EVERYONE I know has played it. Secondly, there's a ton of stuff to talk about in that game so that everyone can have a chance to mention something.
Star Tropics is a great NES game. it's really fun and really well made, the second one, not so much. You could do a fan collab with that or at least play it as a walkthrough at some point. The graphics and music are great and the ending is extremely well done for an NES game. It's one of my all time favourites and a real hidden gem.
Ah that's too bad. =( Although to be honest I'd almost forgotten that you were even doing this thing. =P I don't have a really grand idea but maybe Ocarina of Time, though you mentioned you wouldn't want to do the Zelda franchise. So I dunno, got nothin' right now.
Some suggestions: Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!, S.C.A.T., Bucky O'Hare, Duck Tales, Battletoads/Double Dragon, Clash At Demonhead, Metal Storm, Star Tropics, Shatterhand, Nightshade, Journey To Silius, Demon's Crest, Kirby Superstar, Super-Punchout!, Secret of Mana, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, NBA Jam series, Earthworm Jim, Final Fight series, Gunstar Heroes, Streets of Rage series. How about a 8 &16 bit era shoot 'em up collaboration?
I think a strategy game would be perfect for a walkthrough. My idea is one of the Fire Emblem games, in particular Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. I found that to be a fairly difficult game. The walkthrough could consist of walkthroughs of specific chapters or a character guide.
If you'd like me to be a part of a fan collab, I'd be glad to do MC Kids on the NES. I know a lot of people hate that game, but I know enough about it to provide a good enough walk through of it. If you decide to do that game, let me know which levels you want me to record a narration for, and I will do my best to record my audio and send it to you, just so long as I have your email address.
i already commented talking about why mario 3 might be a good but then i saw someone comment kid icarus and changed my mind, that would be a good one, a fun game and an informative walkthrough i think a lot of ppl know about it but not everyone can say they have beaten it (i cant get past the first level myself)
i understand not wanting to do a big hitter fanchise like mario but because of how long it would take you to do it solo if you did a no-warp walkthrough and because of how many ppl know so much about it i think Mario 3 would work great for a fan collab
i remember when my brother and i were kids, we each got a total of $60 in christmas money one year. he was thrifty, and bought three games for $20 each (a boy and his blob, skate or die 2, and i forgot the third), but i knew better and spent all $60 on just ninja turtles 2, which is still one of my all-time favorite nes games.
I can help with a review for Gauntlet: Dark Legacy for the PS2. Sure, the PS2 hasn't exactly reached classic status, but this is one of the first games to come out on the console.
do an RPG, and if you don't wanna do one of the heavy hitters, choose one of the low brow ones, like Lufia, Jade Cacoon or Secret of Mana, mainly i think an RPG would work, is cause of the heavy story, graphics, game play, everyone can throw in their opinion, there will be a lot of room for it
Bubble Bobble Part 2? No, Snakes Revenge? Maybe, how about, Bionic Commando, (or did you do that one already) anyway I gave my choices hope you choose one!!!
...Y'know, though, I admit that would open up the door for all -kinds- of inventive swearing, raging, and other kinds of frustration-venting. Especially if you wanted to throw in some of your own input into such a video.
"Let us introduce you to the Terra Tubes. Or as I've taken to calling it...The Man Maker. As if this whole game shouldn't be called that, but still..."
Seeing how you kick ass at Capcom games, I think Little Nemo deserves a shot from you guys. Great music, rite amount of difficulty, rite amt of stages, it rules! BTW, ty for doin what you doin. Your originality & offbeat humor made me do a whole playlist of your NES & up reviews & its kinda popular itself! Here's hopin for another 10K!
LOL. I totally forgot about this project. I remember telling you over two years ago I was going to send you something. I guess in this case my procrastination paid off. LOL. I have no idea what game we should do, but look forward to voting on the final choices. Also, congrats on 10K. Seems like you should have much more!
@AqualungGameReviews Why not something like Crash Bash or Chrono Cross? Maybe Megaman 9? How bout something shitty like Yu Yu Hakusho: Spirit Detective for the Game Boy Advance? Or Rygar? Little Nemo the Dream Master? Sailor Moon for the Snes/Genesis? How about something very obscure like X-Men 2: Clone Wars on Genesis? Or Garfield: Caught in the Act for the Genesis? Maybe a Sega Saturn Game? :3 Endless Possibilities!
My suggestion is Castlevania; Symphony of the Night, And don't assume I'm not in touch with the era the games you usually focus on. I know SOTN isn't super retro, but it's a game that is unknown to 70%,of todays gamers, praised by 25% and 5% doesn't like it. Besides that, there are a huge range of strategies for the game, like how to take down individual bosses, how to choosSe the order of bosses or areas, witch weapons to grind for, etc.
@AqualungGameReviews hello can you do a review/walkthrough on any of the clock tower games i would like to see you tackle a survival horror game like that if u can please message me back thank you
