if someone puts a thumbs down for this song i will.... well i won't say but, I love this song and it's my favorite one in almost all of Hayao Miyazaki's movies. let me correct that. It is my favorite song in all of his movies. but i guess that i can't judge that yet because i still haven't seen the secret world of arreietty. but this is not only my favoirte song. it is also my favorite Movie (Hayao Miyazaki Movie that is) thought i got angry at the end when Ashitaka and San didn't end up toghter

@marsmushergon I kind of felt the same way with the end. I wanted San and Ashitaka's love to blossom at the end(even though it doesn't, I'm sure they would've ended up together). It's probably the only thing I have against this masterpiece...but I know the reason Miyazaki chose that end was because it was supposed to reflect the inevitable cycle of Man vs Nature. Eboshi survives and Iron Town will be rebuilt, San returns to the forest as it heals. Ashitaka remains their mediator

@OmegaOwA y friend told me that someone made a 5 minute video of what happened after wards. i'm trying to find it! i really want to find out what they decided was going to be the end of this spectacular film. (in a way i really don't want to see it. idkw)

I am truly a studio ghibli fan, it all started with Spirited Away for me and went on from there, i have collected nearly the entire works of Studio Ghibli. I think that Studio Ghibli is better than Disney and i always have. I dont have a favourite, i can say that i appreciate all of the movies and i admire and respect the hard work that Studio Ghibli has done for the fans.

@GFHmicaella To be honest when i saw that tales from earthsea was released, i didnt realise who the author was when i looked it up and then i realised that i had the book all along without noticing , it was quite weird. The Earthsea Quartet. Its a good book and the movie is brilliant as well.

I haven't watched this movie in a while. But the music in this I think is some of the best Joe Hisashi has written. Though I think all the music he composes is brilliant. The way he ties in the violins with the brass and piano is a heart renching combination that takes you into your own little world.

@goku222 Tales from Earthsea is in my opinion, the weakest of all Ghibli movies...

And Mononoke is my favorite. but well, to each their own :P

I believe Joe Hisaishi to be Japan's John Williams. He is just brilliant. I have to agree with everyone that in general, Ghibli produces better films than Disney, though now that John Lasseter (who is a HUGE admirerer of Ghibli's work) is in charge of Disney things are looking better for them =).

Even if you take away the amazing characters, plot and artwork; Princess Mononoke's soundtrack alone is a good enough reason to label it the best anime film ever. Thank you so much for uploading this masterpiece~ *o*
