just poointing out the irony of his signing with chicago, the following season they went to the finals, then the semis losing to the avalanche the next year, then winning the cup in '97.

In his last year, he took a ton of bad penalties, but even then I heard the wings wanted him but got outbid by the hawks.

We went from the toughest team in the league to being the least tough.......seems like when there is a balance, we win cups though.

true.odd that it wasn't until the Wings got rid of probert that they started to consistently win.

Seasons 90-94 were all very successful with Probert playing a role(87-88, when this commerical was made, was a  team that won consistently too).The rise to Stanley Cup greatness had more to do with the emergence of Lidstrom and Konstantinov than the loss of Probert.
