Fantastic song. Wished there were a more variety of video clips. Too many egerts. What about the diamond mine, oil fields, nuclear power plants, cotton fields, square dancing, civil war parks, razorback games, the southern pine forests, watermelons, quartz, notable country musicians, famous military and political figures, and the list goes on.
Why do they not show any footage of rock climbing? I mean rock climbing is pretty big in the Natural State. I know folks from Europe who come to Arkansas for the rock climbing alone. Shoot, Horseshoe Canyon Ranch has been featured in like 3 different climbing movies! Go Hogs!!!!
and my cousins from missouri think I'm a hick that has an accent. I have a slight accent (like everyone down here does) but I'm not a hick. Heck I'm posting this on an internet connection of 30 MB/S! Oh yeah, definitely a hick that enjoys technology!
this is actually one of the best copies of this song I've heard. Every other one has a little bit of a hiss to it. Not sure where you found this, but I love it!
I live in Taiwan now. I studied at University of Arkansas. My families had the most wonderful time in Arkansas. We missed the most beautiful state, Arkansas.
Imiss arkansas so much, I live in Minnesota now and it and the people are so different that back home. i plan on moving back to Fayetteville after my son grows to 18, im originally from forrest city, not that nice out there, but i want to move back to the western half of the state to be closer to my hogs lol.
It is with the pride of a Hippie Chick that chose Arkansas as home, that I post and share this video. Started looking for the video on Nov. 7th of 2010, when AETN Presents aired Waylon and this video. Thank-you to AETN for releasing it for us. Now I must learn to play it without the tears it brings each time.
Steve, I love the video you put together of this song. I have chosen it to use in a presentation that I will be making to faculty and staff at the University of Graz, Austria in a couple weeks. Great introduction to Arkansas!
I wish Arkansans really had this much pride about their state. I am tired of being disrespected because I am from Arkansas. God has blessed this state and I am proud that I call this home. I'm from Royal, AR
