I understand some Russian, but not good enought to write (and speak)... What concerns reading..for the part that I do not understand there is always google or altavista translator..
Never needed to use much Russian living in independent Latvia, so haven't learned..

Soviet Story is not even about Russia, Latvia or Soviet Crimes in Latvia, but about Soviet crimes in general.. do Russians automatically identify themselves with soviets?? that would explain why they take out pictures of bloody murderers like Stalin here in Riga every 9th of may still in 21st century.. haven't seen Latvians doing so..

Russians suffered from Soviet crimes to a far greater extent than Latvians and they have a lot more accurate account of what those crimes exactly were. Latvian film is simply another means of political propaganda.

There were also many good things about Hitler. Before the war he managed to raise the devestated Germany back on it's feet. German people were happy, and everything was nice.

Your are asociating Stalin with socialism, however they did no t have anything incomon... on the other hand, Hitler had everything incomon with national socialism, because he exterminated the lower races, and nazism existed only during Hitlers reign, however socialism in the USSR was created before Stalin and existed another 60 years...so stop fucking the dunkey here and go sich heil somewhere else!

Well if we want to be serius, socialism never existed in USSR. There was "developed socialism", "being built socialism" and so on.
Socialism exists only in Scandinavia, were people are not put in mad house for expresing their views, and peacefull demonstrations are not supressed with violence what happened even in the last years of USSR.
In USSR people exterminated enemies of the people, technicaly there is no difference between these terms.

thanks for pointing out my typo, by the way, were is the plural past tense for be, on the other hand where is a pronoun, and you also have to have an article before the mad house... so now you can see that we are all humen, and that we all are bound to make mistakes... However, if you are making a movie called the Soviet Story tell the story as it was from the begining till the end, about all of the 80 years, about the good and the bad, because that is what you call objectivity.
