@W444444 It's because it was starting from cold. It tends to be more fluid and smooth once it's warmed up.

@saladriot The very early Lynx were built with either a Gardner 6HLXCT engine or Leyland TL11H. The Cummins L10 was introduced which spelt the end for the Gardner and Leyland engines, as the Cummins was the most popular.
