@gogo12able This phone is an iden phone.. not cdma or gsm. it will never get 3g or 4g.. the data speed is of 2g. around 28 kbps .. so i really dont find any reason for it to tether since it would be extremely slow, slower than dial-up. it has android 1.5 .. and motorola does not plan on upgrading it to android 1.6, 2.1 and 2.2. it has the hardware to support android 2.1 BUT since it has PTT function they cant code it to work, or they are just too lazy to do it lol..

The motorola i1 works on an iDen network (nextel) the data transfer is about 28kbps to like 40kbps no matter what broser u use its slow, best one is Opera but if your in a wifi network, all browsers are fast. look up my other vid.

Hey, need help installing pandora radio on the i1.

@1fascwboy First you need to be in the USA for pandora to work. since it has copyright protection it does not work on other countrys .. well it does not work in mexico i tried it lol.. but here in the usa it works just fine.. you can download pandora from the market.. then create an account if you dont have one set up already. once installed you need to be on WIFI always for it to work.. Data transfer on the i1 since its IDEN its around 28 to 49 kbps witch is EXTREMELY SLOW. so it wont work.

@space3773 2.5 it does play music also it can send stereo music using bluetooth to other devices. i got a jabra stereo bluetooth headset for when im on my motorcycle so i can answer phonecalls or hear music. or in my SUV i use it as a mp3 player my SUV stereo has bluetooth also.

@space3773 it does play music from the memory card. it plays Macromedia Flash, MP3, WAV, WMA, WMV, MIDI, MP4.. you just need to put the music in themusic folder.. u probably need to put the memory card in the phone then format the card using the phones formating option (THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING IN YOUR MEMORY CARD) after that your card will have some folders that the phone made when it formated the card and just select the music folder and insert all the mp3's in that folder..

i change it to WPA.. can't connect with WEP security code so i change it to WPA/WPA2 PSK and now it's working.. so for those people who's having wi-fi connection problem with WEP security, change it to WPA/WPA2 PSK..

@jan3019 well if that worked for you thats good and better.. wpa/wpa2 are way harder to crack if not impossible for most people. so now u got a phone with wifi and a much more secure wifi at home :D .. good job

@jan3019 u dont need to change it .. if you just have a regular wep key all u need is to scan for wifi's then just select the one u own and then just put your wep key in the box.. also make sure that if ur router or modem has mac filter turnd on remember to put your phones mac address in that list.

Ok, now..How does one watch videos on the Motorola i1??

The iden network is super Duper slow and unfortunately for me, I don't live in a good hot spot area. There is no flash player that is compatible that I know of for this phone either.

@dsmith019 .. well if your not connected to a wifi and are only able to use iden network .. use skyfire.. u can see videos of any webpage only using ur data plan. BUT it will be soooo slllooowwww!!!! to load videos .. u need to be patient.. or if your connected to a wifi network you can use the youtube aplication i have. or videobox.. i will make a video of these application later today. they work GREAT ON WIFI but youtube application does not work well on just the data plan :S ..

@saintlemus How do I get the youtube app.? Or Videobox,Skyfire is frustratingly slow on the Iden network. I'm kind of doomed. In my area Wifi is not reliable and Iden sucks. I have to be out traveling to get a decent signal. Iden does not belong on an adroid phone. That's like putting a Turtle shell on a Cheetah's back.

@balosaucedo . no es necesario la verdad ya es mas facil. la aplicacion esta disponible en el "Market" la vercion que tenian antes no funcionaba. pero le hisieron un update y ya funciona.. solo busca en el "Market" advancedlauncher .. todo pegado. baja el primero que salga. no bajes el que dice al ultimo DONUT.. ese es para android 1.6. ya que lo bajes y se instale. le picas a la tecla de HOME tiene figura de una casita . y te dara la opsion de correr el advancedlauncher o el normal.
