Mr O Donoghue is the Speaker of The Irish Parliament. If the system over there is the same (and I gather it's pretty much identical in most procedural respects) his reaction is completely understandable and well within his remit. Anyone trying this shit on in The House of Commons would have been forcibly removed by security guards and denied readmission until a full apology had been made, to parliament and to the speaker personally, in public.
