I heated during the treatment. Given time to set and harden, the coating will probably be more durable. I'll hit it in a week full on with a torch and see what happens to it.
Another fellow tried it on a Wilesco boiler and the finish was pretty brittle. I don't think I will be using this stuff on anything other than perhaps pipework.
oh well. maybe because of the coating on the boiler?who knows.
still would look cool on the piping though.

Just to change the look of the metal and prevent corrosion. I might want to do up a boiler with this stuff one day.

be hard but it would look cool. what about heat though? you said you heated it up and it all sloughed off.
