  • This guy ain't never gonna be no Suicide.

  • @TheLANC95 I hope he isn't. Suicide is someone else's gimmick. Kiyoshi needs the chance to shine as his own character.

  • i remember seeing these promos the first time i ever watched tna and wondered hu this guy was and i took a break from tna and when i started watching again he was doing nothing

  • What are you talking about? He just said in the video that he is paying Tribute to The Great Muta and if it was a Problem Muta wouldn't have talked great things about him.

TNA signed him due to his talent who cares if it's similar to anyone's gimmick. Last time I checked, Wrestling is about WRESTLING not about competition.

  • stupid? Shark Boy does honor Steve Austin in real life, along with Jay Lethal/Randy Savage.

If It was so stupid, I'm sure Steve Austin and Randy Savage wouldn't be praising Shark Boy or Jay Lethal.

  • I love how even after all these promos and pushing from guys like Sting, Mutoh and MCMG TNA are doing nothing with him.

  • Actually he's in the World Elite. So I'm sure something will be done with him. I mean you can't push a guy within less then a year.

  • Kiyoshi was a lower-Midcard in NJPW its harder to make it there cause it takes years but in TNA he has the chance to go far if used right

  • Kiyoshi actually worked for AJPW

  • Bring Tajiri and great Muta In and Make Em a Team. That Would be Awesome

  • They were a team in Japan.

  • "...to honour the Great Muta, not copy him.". Yap, he totaly NOT copy him by making a same face paint as Muta was use at 90's...

  • Whooops... you reveal me)) Kabuki and Muta is really identical, but not the same, face paint of Kabuki is more alike from... kabuki theatre. In Japan many of wrestlers use face paints, but Kiyoshi now use the one what Muta was. Understand me right - I don't say it's a Kiyoshi's fault, I think it's a idea of TNA management to make a student of Muta be more look alike Muta and I don't say it's bad - it's just not good.

  • He is using the same face paint as Muta but other than that he is not copying him. He doesn't use mist, the dragon screw, shining wizard and all that stuff. And like you said a lot of guys use face paint. When he said honor not copy I think he was refering to the actual wrestling. I've watched kiyoshi and muta's matches and I don't see mirror images. Kiyoshi is Kiyoshi and Muta is Muta.

  • it's similar, not actually not even the same facepaint.........

  • Huh...

OK, if from begining TNA emphasize what Kiyoshi is a student of Keiji Mutoh and then every time he came on ring he dressed like that:

    i319.photobucket.

    com/albums/mm470/LostAtol/M-K.

    jpg?t=1260234267 (connect)

What first came to your mind?

  • actually, there should've been pictures of both of them using the mist or doingg a moonsault to better the point.....

but the paint is similar, not quite the same.

'sides, he looks different now, and he was on a tag match with muta himself while using the gimmick very similar to muta's...... obviously muta didn't mind.....

  • And most important - it's nothing like I didn't like Kiyoshi. He deserve some respect to able wrestle at another country (and wrestle pretty good). But it all about mindless TNA's management with this ripoff ideas like afro Macho Man, or Apolo Creed from "Rocky". You know what "Awesome Kong" it's ringname of Dwayne McCullough (90's) and Joe Afamasaga (wrestler from Zealand) wrestle under the name of Samoan Joe.

It just looks like TNA didn't have any creative fantasy at all.

  • actually, i agree with you there, i can't stand sharkboy imitating stonecold..........

  • Comment removed

  • Wrong.

  • haha no he's not man. Tajiri is a totally different wrestler. Just because they are asian doesn't mean they are all the same

  • There's someone i haven't seen in a while.

Scott D'Amore. Team Canada was awesome

  • scott d'amore should be tna's booker not russo

  • scott d'amore left TNA to concentrate on his wrestling school

  • id love to see him wrestle shelley for the x division title. that'd be a good match

  • I'd like to see Kiyoshi fight for the X-Division title sometime in the next few months.

  • Hde doesn't want to copy Muta, yet he goes for the Muta early 90's face paint?

    Good Call

  • You didn't read that right. He wants to HONOR him, which means he is paying tribute.

  • I hope they bring back Tiger Mask and do something good with him as well.

  • I thought this video was the best part of the show last night. TNA could use a guy like this to fill out their underwhelming undercard. Aside from the main, Impact was pretty weak last night.

It would be all kinds of awesome if TNA got Muta and the Great Kabuki to come to ringside with Kiyoshi once or twice.

  • I'm looking forward to this

  • Kyioshi is cool, but he needs to ditch Muta gimmick. I think TNA has enough copy cat gimmicks as it is.

  • My problem with TNA now is that they fucked up the MEM/Frontline storyline and also the fact that they give air time for the likes of Bashir and Shane Sewell (who are really bad) instead of letting guys like Sonjay or Kiyoshi for that matter shine.

  • completly agree

  • Almost every Japanese or anyone who is Asian that I have seen has been a force to reckon with. And after seeing what they can do, absolutely no one should take them lightly.

  • He earned his strips in Japan and I hope he doesnt expect to just come in and overnight get things easy just because he's in the states. And I hope th dumb smarks don't come down on TNA for not handing this guy everything right up front. I'm sick of this mentality that the older guys should have nothing but the indy guys and foreign talent should come right in and get everything. You can have anything you want, but put in ur time, pay your dues and earn it!

  • I don't think he expects anything cause thats how they are taught. He will earn his time. But I think he deserves to be on TV more than others who are.

  • Ohh fuck yeah dude it irks me to no end to see dumbass supposed "youtube shooters" down legends like Sting and Kevin Nash only to hear them praise their stupid little spot monkeys from CZW or ROH that nobodies ever heard of and think that they should be WWE/TNA champion overnight.

  • I agree about Sting, but Kevin Nash sucks and always has. He's definately not in Sting's league.

  • They are talking about in-ring talent. ROH's talent wrestle at a faster pace than Sting ever has.

  • Completely agree with you. TNA better go somewhere with this and push kyoshi rather than have him job to push someone else like last time.

  • isnt he the one that spits??

  • it is nice to see TNA get new blood, Kiyoshi and Brutus Magnus.
