I don't think she's not confident but she's subtly trying to hide her face. In most videos made by Japanese people from Japan, their faces are covered either by lowering the camera or they wear a mask. You couldn't see the other members' faces either right? I doubt that's even her real hair, might be a wig. It's a modesty thing and if they have a job, employers won't like it too much if their employees are on youtube doing things they might not agree with.

I've seen enough Japanese fan covers to know that it's customary to hide your face, it blocks your real identity and gives you a new one if you have a signature mask or gimmick.
