This game has crappy gameplay controls, get the orginal R-Type Its mindblowing com,pared to this. Not that many game has managed to age so well but the orginal R-Type I and II.. I have played the demo of this and I was hugly disapointed, particulary since I had such high hopes about it..

And I prefer the classic 2D sprity look of the orginal.. Take me back to 1987 *yay*

@Diamondkid777 Gotta' go with Gradius. Higher difficulty (I think), great music, and cooler weapons. Wish I still had Gradius 5.

rtype, what a great shoot em up. the best at the time of it release? Maybe.

All these remakes, though, they makes too much of it.

I thought un-squadron (1989) and prehistoric isles were slightly better.

Got the full games and played R-TYPE myself for the first time.

I must say, i came in knowing what to expect and still had trouble. Enjoyed it, though.
