1) The reason we lost to florida was because after being ranked #1 all year we had already beaten the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the country (Texas and Florida) After that and the grueling Big 10 season. That's the reason why Florida was up for "Best Upset" at the ESPY's. I was at all three of those games. Florida was not as good as Texas or michigan and espically not Ohio State.

The SEC probably has the greatest tradition as a conference. The south has risen and no I am not talking about the Civil War, slavery, or the like. In college football, the south has risen. All I have to say is the SEC spends more money on its football per team than any other conference. For the SEC not to be in the national title hunt would be pretty lame. Not to mention that all the voters always favor the SEC even when they suck, which is every year. With or without that money they still are overrated!

the pac 10 is not the 2nd best conference. this past year the pac 10 was at best 5th. the sec and big 12 are miles ahead of everybody else. yes i know usc could beat anybody in the big 12, but thats only usc. you have texas oklahoma and nebraska as top programs in all of college football. texas tech and missouri are on the rise, and a&m doesnt have a bad program as well.

BIG 12 ahead of the Pac-10?!? That's hilarious. The Pac-10 actually WON 5 out of 5 bowl games this past year, AND it was a down year! Big-12 plays soft defense allowing offenses to score WAY too high too consistently. Look at how Florida shut down that high-scoring Oklahoma offense. USC did the same in 2005. Texas Tech is NOT on the rise because they lost their 1 superstar.
Pac-10 is the 2nd best conference right now next to the SEC.

True is the saying that "the media has a love affair with the SEC." USC always ranks high in the coaches polls because "coaches" know what a team is about regardless of their conference. The dumbest part of college football is that everyone give too much credence to what the media says. We all know the media resides in the east, and 98% of them never played football.
The NFL knows USC is great because they even draft our 2nd stringers and that speaks for itself.

I would contend that a BCS championship in Green Bay would bring in 15,000-20,000 LESS fans. In the BCS era, the Pac-10 is 9-6 against the SEC, look it up. USC has 4 wins in that time so the rest of the league is 5-6( and would be 6-5 in favor of the Pac-10 had Oregon St not missed THREE PATs against LSU). It's not like they've been blown out of the water like a cupcake would've.
The UGA-Arizona St game should be a relatively good indicator but the Tennessee-UCLA won't be. UCLA should be a bottom 3 team in the Pac-10 this season.

One could conclude that since the Big 10 players DOMINATE the NFL that they are better football players. Therefore after a grueling Big 10 season, the sec gets lucky and gets to play a Big 10 team that actually had to work to get there and not have a cakewalk through a conferance that doesn't do anything like run around and run a spread offense.
The Big 10 is hard-nosed smash mouth football. That is why the sec won't play us in September, BEFORE the grind of our Big 10 season.

Ok you can point out that the NC's in the past 10 years all you want. I'm getting at the underlying cause of it all. Quite simply it's because the Big 10 is a more demanding in-conferance schedule. The REAL NC game in 2006 was Ohio State/michigan.
The sec is a joke. Auburn and Tenn have NEVER played a game in a Big 10 stadium. Florida, Georgia haven't seince 1965, LSU since 1988.
Ohio State goes on the road to play Texas, USC, Oklahoma, Cal, VT, and Miami. ON top of a harder conferance

1) The reason we lost to florida was because after being ranked #1 all year we had already beaten the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the country (Texas and Florida) After that and the grueling Big 10 season. That's the reason why Florida was up for "Best Upset" at the ESPY's. I was at all three of those games. Florida was not as good as Texas or michigan and espically not Ohio State.
