Oh yeah... I mean they were basicaly the same IDEA however Showbiz Pizza Place's had a different show called The Rock-afire Explosion... Look into it on the web and on youtube... there's still plenty of info. When the 2 places merged in the late 80's some Chuck E. Cheese's locations became "Showbiz Pizza" even though technically they were still the same inside... as in this case.
wow, Somewhere out there really takes me back...did this location have the little room underneath the stage with the tunnels and the strobe light ? I used to love to go under there...and our location in Shreveport had a magic carpet room..it was a carpeted room with water underneath the carpet and you could sort of roll around on it,or try and swing over it on ropes, it was amazing!! It's sad kids nowadays get the tiny chuck e cheeses they have now.
@turkaderr Yeah it did... although that little area was already sealed off when this video was shot...(because stores started doing away with these in the late 80's & by 1990 cause of the newer ball crawls coming into stores at that time) That little area and room with stobes was officially called "Mr. Munch's Madhouse"
damn! This really makes me feel old. I used to go to this chuck e cheese. i remember that the front area had a hippo playing the piano to later be replaced by the beagles. good times!
Was that at this Walzem Rd. location or Military Dr.? I know the one on Military Dr. had Dolli Dimples(the hippo) and later The Beagles but did this one have that too?
if i remember correctly they both had them but the military drive location may have been the one that changed the most and also needed the most repairs. munch would always go nuts and freak everyone out. hope that helps a little. Thanks again for posting this and letting me relive my childhood.
was this in walzem tx

Sweet Vid. I've never heard of Showbiz Pizza, Only Chuck E Cheese. Is there a difference? I remember being afraid of "The King" as a child.
Was he ever part of the show at CEC?

How did you get lucky to hear the show?
At Chuck E. Cheese today you can't hear the show unless there is a birthday. I miss the Rock-afire explosion.
