Defo should have looped the opening synth instead of that vocal part to start, i try and introduce this song to people and most cringe at the opening to this song , pity coz its class!
@dudepsd Couldn't agree with you more. The vocal sounds shit looped and the synth would of sounding brilliant. And yes! The high pitch vocals somehow don't go down well with people and even other brilliant songs from Delays aren't popular with my friends.

Now, besides great voice and emotional melody lines I have just found out what favourite song of mine this one reminds me, specially during the unexpected fading end - Don Henley's Boys of Summer. It has a similar nostalgic touch to it. Fisr album also shines !

been following these guys since their album saw them perform live in exeter university to an audience of about 200.... It was the best live performance of any band i have ever seen AWESOME
I first saw them on the same tour in Liverpool Academy, about 200 people their too! Quality gig, seen them on every tour since... One of my favorite bands.
I first saw them on a live airing of a concert of theirs in Mexico. Even though I was going to bed, I couldn't turn off the TV. I didn't even want to blink.
