Fm transmitters have major issues, if you live in an area where many stations from neighboring towns like to pump 100,000 watts into it (why, i have no fucking clue, one of them doesn't even need it, since they JUST launched an online simulcast of it, but, whatever)

I had the exact same problem, everything i found seemed to be an iHome or an iSetup or whatever. Thing is; i had a Zune. So i went to best buy, and bought a FM transmitter, don't' get any that are battery powered, just get one that plugs into a cigarette lighter, and into a headphone jack. easy and pretty reliable, i've only had mine for about a week but i haven't seen any problems with it!

FM transmitters are not the way to go.. very poor sound quality and at times static will occur. Best to use a headphone connection, if your car does not have this option then go with the direct auxiliary hook up, which there are tons of companies that offer these converters online for reasonable prices. Don't choose these FM transmitters, not the way to go.

Add an I-pod cable to an aftermarket deck, ran to glove box. Labor $19.99, usually the cable costs around $19.99.

Install a WIRED FM Modulator (like the I simple FM adapter) depending on car is $59.99-$79.99 Labor. We have different Wired FM modulators ranging from $34.99 to 80.99. Depending on the car extra parts may be needed (antenna adapters). The 80.99 AUX unit sounds like HD radio, no static, or distortion.
