  • Wouldn't it be awesome if the police raided a catholic church and arrested the people there for cannibalism?

  • soooo is this video the answer?

  • So you question all sorts of religious ideas, but I'm curious, where do you suppose that truth is to be found?

  • Repent. Turn to God. He is mighty to save. Only through Jesus Christ will you find life. He is the only life. He loves you. Your short life on earth is over so quickly. Dont leave it too late. Save yourself from this corrupt generation and let Jesus set you free.

  • @717ukPaul there is no god dude stfu nd gtfo

  • Religion cant be pwnd, sillys ;)

  • That rasta has a lazy eye.

  • Just wondering why did you not use Tom Cruise for the scientologist?

  • Wow so many lost souls marching in to hell!

  • Dear PotheadPundit- I truly hope that exposure to information will engender uncertaintly and skeptical thinking. However, human history has often demonstrated previously that exposure to new and revolutionary ideas often threatens human's sense of identity and frightens them into a backwards looking fundamentalist backlash where they desperately cling to their outdated ideas. It can also incite those vested in maintaining power over the masses to whip people into a zenophobic fear frenzy.

  • Dearest PotheadPundit- I believe you are what's known as an "optimist".

  • mormons really believe that shit? that is fucked

  • @happycrazedyouth Yup, my family is mormon. I pretty much hate them all.

  • @SinHarvester You hate them all? Sheesh, most of my family are catholic, protestant or agnostic, and I am athiest...the one's who are hardcore, trying to find signs of the deceased and using icons like saints and preach loads of bible at me, don't necessarily gives me any desire to hate or loathe, sure if they were protesting against say, using protection during sex, I would get mad and tell them off, but why hate? I am sure you have your reasons. I know it is near impossible to reason with them

  • Holy moley you gotta hear this. last night the holy ghost came to me, (or maybe it was the tooth fairy,) i don't know it was too dark to tell. but anyway he spoke to me in a deep echoing voice, he said i should spread the word of "BOB." BOB i said, he said "YES, BOB." i told him "i'm ready, i'm ready." he said, "thats perfect, now keep it up." then he disappeared back into the closet. thats one goofy ghost.

    peace, lardo.

  • ...um, I'm a catholic, and I go to church every Sunday. I don't think any sane Catholic actually thinks he or she is eating part of Jesus. That would be gross.

  • So, what do you tell your trusting, PRE-abstract children, when you introduce them to this (of many) ancient superstitions?

  • You, sir, are brilliant. You should be awarded medals.

  • The fact we live in the information age and are exposed to so many conflicting religious beliefs has (I believe) has caused many of todays youth to questions the insulated religious doctrines we used to grow up with. Along with a trend towards critical and scientific thinking, this has led to a significant growth in atheism. It is a trend I look forward to.

  • @socksumi You are absolutely correct. I am the one of the youth that has become an Atheist (Nihilist, technically) due to the mass exposure of other cultures/belief systems. Quite a few of my friends have undergone the same "transformation" if you will. Plus taking any highschool level Biology class offers more than a enough proof against any supernatural creation theory.

  • @Thrasher1131 haha! My biology classes textbook had a section on "alternative beliefs" and it shows creationism with adem and eve with the snake and apple, explaning "there are other ways of explaining"...so fucked up because it only justified what I used to belief in, back in highschool...

  • @Thrasher1131 adam*** excuse the typo

  • Well done, dude!

  • I think what the world need is more understanding, less pompous douchebags saying they have all the truth.

Saying that "religion is a fairytale" is just as bad as saying that "science is the tool of the Devil". We have things to teach each other. We are stuck on this planet together, after all.

  • Meh im religous but i remain impartial to both science and religon there is some things science can't prove but at the same time religon can't prove anything either. In my opinion life is a test when you die you learn the true answers.

  • then be an agnostic.

  • religion is just bed time stories to make people do what someone wanted.

  • Well done, PotheadPundit!!

  • Yup!

  • there is no "why". we have no purpose. When an apple falls to the ground there is no "why", only a "how". we are like any other animal that has come to be on this planet, no more special.

  • sometimes, i feel that trying to understand "how" is a lot more profound and satisfying than figuring out "why".

For me, it's not "why do we exist?"

its "how did we come to be?"

Its not "why is my life this way"

but "how can I make my life better?"

or "how can I achieve a state of equilibrium?"

...btw I love this video :D Kudos to PotheadPundit

  • Just let religion slowly suffer in the back alley of truth and science...

That whore is too old. The hot new blonde called science is more realistic and her tits of benefits we can reap.

  • science proves things religion exxplanes them saying they saw miricles religion was just an old way of explaning things that people couldnt work out due to lack of technology thats why i get pissed off when you get religious people who say that things that have been proven are false cos of what there holy book sais. they refuse to beleave for eg that people didnt evolve fom ponds(scientists beleave first life forms where from guysers)

  • Awareness will be raised. The fourhorsemen will be successful.

  • God is Santa Claus for adults.

  • yup

  • @ColoradoMikeyS Didja hear about the dyslexic Satanist who sold his soul to Santa?

  • @ColoradoMikeyS You know what is weird... I used to believe in Santa, I found out for myself he was not real, and my parents took the time to make is a special occasion, so I played along and still do, its fun, so long as I understand its a load of bollocks...But with God, I recently realised its a load of bollocks too...but I don't play along...kinda weird when i think about it, might just be my greed for gifts xD

If God gave me barbies and candy I rekon I would still play along...heh

  • the answer is simple...YOU are God!

  • 5 stars

  • corretion!

    christianity got pawned

  • Wow, very cool!

    ...and so true!!

    Death to all religion!

  • All religion is BS. It was all created back when people had NO IDEA about the earth and how it works. Science has explained all the "unexplainable" things religion talks about.

It's amazing how so many people believe in things they KNOW cannot possibly be true. I call that a mental illness. They should all be locked up.

  • yea

  • Comment removed

  • A little joke.

Did you hear about the dyslexic, agnostic, insomniac?

He lay awake all night wondering if there really was a dog.

  • @widgit007 You sir win the Internet.

  • Good video.

However, while I think that the internet has a number of virtues - free exchange of ideas, easy access to information - it also has a vice which is on the flip side of those virtues. That being that the crazy and dogmatic can find others like them who validate their paranoia and/or dogmatism. They can form a community that can come up with apologetics for their unsupported beliefs. Cases in point: creationists, conspiracy theorists, supply-side economists...

  • I would hope that to be the case, but you find as many crazy ideas since the information age being spread around, and bought into by many. Hollow earth, 9/11 conspiracies, free energy gravity energy balls (etc). I'd like to see nonsense become obliterated but i think critical thinking skills and reasoning are required. Even with the world's information at your finger tips, if you don't realize you can simply look up claims to verify the voracity, the information you stumble on is what you accept

  • Interesting video, but what's with the cyclops in the Yankees hat?

  • Nah, they'll just shut down the internet and control the free exchange of information and ideas.

  • there are few better qualities than doubt.

  • so why not have doubt along with those other qualities?

  • You are smoking balls!

  • Wow. This really makes me see how stupid us humans can be. Scary.

  • uncertainty is NOT ok because it creates emotional and mental decay and instability. thats why we must retain our answers against the acid of questioning, allowing questions only regarding medicine and pain prevention

  • your wrong.

  • good argument

  • "uncertainty is NOT ok because it creates emotional and mental decay and instability"

Be more precise. Vague statements like that are blankets of deception.

"thats why we must retain our answers against the acid of questioning"

Translation: Let's plug our ears and shout "LA LA LA LA" repeatedly.

  • manbearpig died for your sins.

  • We are blessed there's more than one religion, as we can see them as all being wrong. It would be a disaster for atheists if there was just one religion. The information age does bring us together - unfortunately it's going to get worse before it's gets better. People with medieval religious ideas might be living in your street. People with mutually offensive views now have direct access to each other. Right now this is a combustible mix. However we have to go through this phase.

  • good stuff

  • you rock dude i love your videos...i dont really get the cyclops thing in the yellow coat but i guess what ever floats your boat right

  • And THAT'S why agnosticism is the one true religion.

  • Agnosticism is a position of knowledge, not belief. Understand what it is before labeling yourself.

Now that you have a position of knowledge, you just need to come up with a position of belief. Oh and just so you know, again, agnosticism is not a position of belief.

  • ...one problem with the internet is that tonality is completely lost in all-text communication; my comment was meant to be sarcastic. I am an agnostic, and, technically speaking, I suppose, an agnostic-atheist because I do not aknowledge any supernatural forces as being legitimate, but I really don't like identifying in the 'atheist' column because all beliefs seem to come from a position of implied knowledge which I do not have, and god is not supernatural if indeed there is one or more.

  • Not even the Force? Blasphemy!

  • If you reject the belief in a God, just reject it, not exclude it in absolute certainty, you're an atheist. Atheist don't say they KNOW there is no God, they just say the isn't any proof, therefore we can reject the hypothesis.

Welcome to the club of completely amoral, baby killing, soulless atheists :)

  • Yeah it is. It's the lack of a belief one way or the other.

  • "Yeah it is. It's the lack of a belief one way or the other."

No, it's not. Go look up agnosticism and actually read about it.

  • Yes, it is. I have looked it up already, and was one for about two years.

  • respect

  • The reason we don't have the answer to the question "Why are we here?" is because it's the wrong question. Well, it *might* be the right question, but we can't honestly ask it until we first answer the question "Does it even make sense to ask why we're here?"

  • fair enough

  • No it only makes sense to a religious believer. Why does there have to be a resaon?. We know the cause but there is not necessarily a reason.

  • Its called philosophy, the attempt to understand and quantify the answer to the question; "Why are we here?" or as I like to say "What makes us wonder why?" Philosophy, not unlike art, religion and science is another method for searching out these answers. Art seeks the answer through expression, philosophy through thinking, religion through spirituality and faith and science through research, evidence and theories. They are all in the same, different methods, same result.

  • I would have to argue a LOT on th result part! And religion does not seek understanding. At least xtianity and islam doesn't.

  • I respectfully disagree sir. No human expression, thought, research or faith can give us an answer. Everything is theory, everything is a blind grope in the dark. We can never know the answers to existence. Therefore any attempt to understand our universe will result in the same conclusion; ignorance. But thats okay. It is part of what makes us human, the quest for enlightenment. As for religion, well I am not religious, nor do I agree with religion on MOST things. But I disagree...

  • ...relgion IS the search for truth. You and I simply disagree with its overarching methods, philosophies and practices. But don't get me wrong, all of the things I've mentioned are all seeking the same end game; What makes us wonder why?

    Thanks for the debate. ;)

  • ...really because i would say...science is search for the truth, religion is stories by people who pretend to know the truth, let me explain, someone wants to know why it rains one man studies it and researches it, the other man says god does it...now which one is searching for the truth?

  • "...relgion IS the search for truth."

"god did it" doesn't sound like searching for the truth.

  • @CousinoMacul I think it's sort of a waste of time to ask the question. What if there is no reason at all.

Also, the only reason anything has is the reason we give it. It's part of the individual illusions that mark our everyday lives.

  • dont taze you?

but that only leaves me with the options of using my baton, gun or mace : P

  • Your accomplishments are truly pathetic. :P
