hi love your videos. im recording some stuff for video and i found getting a clothes hanger (bent into a crude circle and putting a stocking over it...then placing in front of the mic will get rid of the "plosive" words that begin with t, b, or p. keeps everything on the level. :) gives u the same effect as this setup link:

Man this whisper sound test with your new mic sounds great. It picks up your awesome whispering very good and with very little background noise. It is a little on the low side but I usually use my earbuds when I listen to whispers anaway, but Im sure you'll work it out to get a little more volume... I cant wait to listen to your next relaxation vid with your new mic! The best whisperer on youtube just got even better!

I agree @GOODBYEskateteam about increasing the volume after you've recorded. You might also want to look into using a free audio editing program (like nch.com.au/wavepad/index.html) that has a "noise reduction" feature. You might have to play with it a bit because some of them can make your audio sound a little tinny, but the basic idea is that it removes the white noise that's consistently in the background. That helps if you don't have a completely quiet recording room :)

I love it! The clarity is nice but it is a little low in volume. Its a lil harder to hear what your saying unless I put my iphone by my ear (and im not hard of hearing) and the other vids i didnt hv to do that.. But it has this echo type sound thats even more relaxing ;) so big thx to your bf! Seems like a great guy. Oh & btw i love u... Your the best & been a fan forever.

If you're using movie maker, when you've recorded your audio, click on the track and hold CTRL and U and it lets you increase the volume quite a fair amount. Good quality mic though, sounds nice, Hope this helps =]

You should really look in how to cancel out background noise. Which would really help. There are plenty of guides on how to do it. With free programs like Audacity. Just look on Youtube for "Remove background noise".

@LiliumCandidum27 My suggestion would be to remove as much of the noise from the background as you can, naturally, rather than trying to remove it with noise reduction FX. Find the quietest possible place you can to record to begin with and it should be fine.

@masterm1k3 A lot of times, when people do that, it ends up sounding worse, with artifacts and a tinny sound. I'd rather there be some background noise than that. I don't know that this mic is an improvement, though... There's some clarity loss on your voice compared to what I've heard before, though that was sometimes too bright and this isn't as bright. I'd suggest doing a soundtest video where you experiment with different placements of the mic, and distances to it as you talk.

please take this as constructive criticism (I did like the vid!!) yet: its too quiet! try to set the sound amplifier to at least ~ 150%... and the ventilator of your laptop is audible, which can be avoided by filters/lowering the sensivity of your mic (or placing the mic farther away). you should find both somewhere at system>hardware/sound>devices>­audio/mic (sorry I got a linux pc) will you use a cam in future videos? makes it somewhat more personal... cheers to your bf!^^
