i've splashed blended 40%-45% in my non flex fuel truck for over 2 years. i put a conversion kit on it over a year ago and had no, zip, nada problems with it. News media get there info from the american petrolium Institute. any fuel injected vechicle from mid 80's and on can use up to 50%. Ethanol burns cooler, cleaner and extends engine life. I go 4,000 miles between oil changes. if you drive a higher mileage vechicle you need to change the fuel filter.
Hey Switch, I have a 2006 Elantra that I have run between E20 and E30 since it was new, now at 50K miles What a load of crap that this guy said it eats the engine from the inside. It does not do that at all!!!! What a complete falsity!
Ethanol is actually compatible with more materials than gas is!
I run a 50 percent blend in My 2006 Kia Spectra newer cars can handle more then 10 percent I plan on converting my car soon I could care less about any laws on converting cars the people that made them law don't care about me at all. it might void warranties but that is the risk i am willing to take. the 50 percent blend has been working for 55000 miles with no problems at all. if we are serious about changing we can't always have a safety net. wee are sending to much money over seas.
