  • A "rain fly" keeps the rain out of the tent and fits over the body of the tent. So what your saying is that it's a "single wall" tent that needs no rain fly in inclement weather??? The "Ground sheet" of the tent is called the tent floor.

  • Nice video, under ideal conditions in the sunshine. Roll on summer. :) I have just bought one of these tents because it appears to have so much more than the Banshee. I like the lines of the X2 and I note that yours seems very well cut. i..e it 'hangs' well. Also, the inner does not sag. Have you altered/ pinned it at all the get the good fit? I've only put mine up in the living room, using safety pins in the carpet. :) I aim to do a spot of cycle touring with it. Would appreciate your view.

  • Ohhh my beautiful tent. Really nice video mate. I spent weeks and weeks researching for a quality tent and had to have one what fitted in the base of my Karrimor Sabre 60-100. This was it. I only wish they made it in a darker olive green but thats here nor there. Fully recommend this tent to solo backpackers its so small and light and has never let a drop of water in even in thunderstorms. When im not hanging this is the boyo for me without doubt. Well done sir, cool vid.

  • is that Ray Mears?

  • LOL

If I had Ray's bushcraft skills, I would have made my own tent using a handful of moss and a twig. :-)

  • Slightly more head height would be better!

  • that is a really clever tent, this is what people want ! thanks for the video my freind !

  • @1newbucketheadcover1

Definitely too small for 2 people!

I spent 2 weeks cycling around France with my mate. We used a coleman pictor X3. Easily big enough and loads of storage space in the front porch.

Also has a door at either end for easy access and a side door in the porch. Probably a bit heavy to carry on a hike though!

  • Thanks for this, how has it held up for you?

  • It is a strudy tent, but no use for 2 people, definitely the x2 is for a single person. If you are over 6ft it might also be a squeeze lengthwise.

Folds up nice and small as well. So I am happy with it.

  • Might still be a bit tight for a child as wel as an adult!

  • Good video and I like the two doors.. Probably only good for one adult and a child.

  • is there a rainfly 2 it?

  • @1998colten

Not sure what you mean. There is an inner sleeping mesh with sewn in ground sheet and an outer flysheet

  • Yep it is a good tent, I really like the side opening as it makes it easier to get in when all your gear is stashed in the front vestibule.

  • Thanks for this good video. I´m going to the highlands where you better have a good tent with my Avior X2 in a short while. Feel more confident with it after watching this video. :)

  • Good video, received my x2 last week and im very satisfied with it
