Man, there were so many mistakes in this game. Not bouncing the paralyzed eel, equipping an already lethal Raptor and some really sloppy combats, like not attacking with the Puma when the opponent is on 2 and has no X/3's ... I think LSV must have seen the mill theme and relaxed a little too much.
Nah, his opponent had very few outs, and even if he had attacked with the Puma it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game. He was perfectly fine with getting whiplash'd, but he didn't want to get blown out by Arrow volley trap.
Also, when exactly did he equip an "already lethal" raptor?
It might have been the correct play to bounce the eel, but the goal was to have lethal in the air, which shepherd did just fine.
I started playing seriously (drafting and building tourney decks) when M10 came out. I made the mistake of ice caging a creature when my opponent had an equipment out. I was too dumb to understand he could equip it to another creature then equip it back to destroy the ice cage... how I always look for equipment tricks! yay!
i dont know about that early rite, i mean you just get blown out by whiplash trap, which you passed yourself, I think puma and adventuring gear would have been fine, or just the gear to get more value from your ally's later
LOL I posted a comment on the previous video about how LSV seems to favor blue white and he starts this video talking about how he doesn't always do that. too funny.

I think get back to your hand the paralysed eel with skyfisher should have been a good idea.

I know it ended up not mattering, but didn't it make more sense to bounce your eel with the skyfisher?
