In the beginning of the series tien one of the weaker characters blew up a mountain by punching it. regardless of how you react, a serious punch from goku even a held back one would kill luffy. 2. when crossing anime's you must consider their form of power the same. Also willpower and life force are the same thing. So in a sense characters in DBZ already have haki, but ki gives you more abilities like flying and Kame hame ha.

Goku would win. And actually Vegeta was the first one capable of blowing up planets in DBZ, you need a power of at least 10,000 to do it, though I'm not that big of a fan on power levels. We saw him blow up a planet during his trip to earth with ease. Goku was the second one to be capable of this after his training with King Kai, he couldn't even compete with Raditz at first who has like a 1,200 power level.
That does it, I'm making a little show- and tell video demonstrating why the Dragonball series pwns all, I mean post-timeskip Luffy could beat the Hulk and possibly Thor Prime, but you're talking a universe where the weakest Z- fighter (Like Usopp is the weakest strawhat) could be evenly matched with Hawkeye...

I personally think that Luffy can take Goku to atleast Kaio Ken without going down. With his Gears possibly SSJ 1. Now after the timeskip Luffy can possibly take him to SSJ 2 using his Gears. Unless Goku gets pissed and just blows up the place they are fighting at, Luffy stands a pretty good chance at making SSJ have trouble.

agree, dbz is op as hell, at the beginning of series goku was taking bullets without any sign of irritation- power lvl 10, end of db power lvl 250approx, when fighting vegeta OVER 9000! fighting frieza over a million. at the start, vegeta was destroying planets with his finger. luffy was only apply to destroy multiply buildings at max, iunno about after timeskip. tsuna's xburner was able to destroy a building block...therefore dbz beats all anime

Also willpower and life force are the same thing. So in a sense characters in DBZ already have haki, but ki gives you more abilities like flying and Kame hame ha.
Oda even said (interview or question thread) that haki was based on ki and that they are similar.

Goku would win. And actually Vegeta was the first one capable of blowing up planets in DBZ, you need a power of at least 10,000 to do it, though I'm not that big of a fan on power levels. We saw him blow up a planet during his trip to earth with ease. Goku was the second one to be capable of this after his training with King Kai, he couldn't even compete with Raditz at first who has like a 1,200 power level.

The only non- DF fight i've seen close to that in One Piece is when Shanks clashed with Whitebeard and they parted the clouds.

I personally think that Luffy can take Goku to atleast Kaio Ken without going down. With his Gears possibly SSJ 1. Now after the timeskip Luffy can possibly take him to SSJ 2 using his Gears. Unless Goku gets pissed and just blows up the place they are fighting at, Luffy stands a pretty good chance at making SSJ have trouble.

1. Luffy is rubber, and if you watched the series you would know that normal stuff like gokus punches and kicks would have no effect on him, unless the person used haki.
2. Gokus ki atacks would do some damage, but luffy could deflect them with gomu gomu no baloon.
3. Luffy in gear 2nd is the equivalent of Goku in super sayin, luffy moves at super speed and his atacks are tripled the strength. And even if Goku used spirit bomb, luffy has no evil.

@devilseyecry he can become fire thats how. and anyway this irrelevant show me kizaru absorbing light or gtfo. when did i ever say THEY dont convert ki learn to read i said trunks didnt the bulkiness is a part of the transformation and nobody ever said he converted ki. he can SEE them whats the point if you're too slow to react. cell had obviously the adventage speed+regeneration

@pyro6160 1st, tht didnt answer my question tht ace can absorb fire ... 2nd, yes, he uses all his Ki into strength which means he converted his Ki into strength only ... 3rd, yeah, u may be right ...
