For Hubbard, the ends justified the means. If telling a "white lie" gets people into Scientology (the "desirable result"), then Scientologists should communicate an "acceptable truth".

Anyone who leaves the Sea Org without permission is declared a Suppressive Person by the Church of Scientology, and is ostracized from family, friends, and loved ones. It is very difficult to get permission to leave the Sea Org, and one cannot simply quit and then walk out the door. The "approved" leaving process involves up to 3 years of hard physical labor, E-metered confessionals, social isolation and group pressure.

An interesting video. I do not like Obama, but this video is cute. Who is this little girl? She's cute. However, the "change" Obama wants is not the change YOU will want - once you see the results. He wants to abolish the Bush tax cuts - these were significant for all us regulare folks. What is he going to do - raise our taxes by letting the Bush cuts expire - then lower them some and take credit for lowering what was already lowered. Obama - a great BS Artist - wants to spread the wealth.

Richard Woods, a vocal UK critic and former Sea Org member once said that Scientologists leave the cult in three phases.
1. First they disagree with management.
2. They question aspects of the tech.
3. Finally they question the motives of LRH.
