  • @narutoforever99 Clopin is my Disney crush too and i adore him though i have a crush on 2 japanese animes too :P:P:P

  • @NiNaKiable Only 3 Fictional Crushes?! What is wrong with you?? :) lol at last count I had like 20

  • Shivers, every time <3

  • love love love this song!

but who the heck SINGS it? Who played the singing voice of Clopin?

  • @CamoCat5000 I think it was Paul Kandel

  • i love the part when the guy pulls out a frollo or what his face puppet and sings monster and when he sings man it switched to quasimodo XD i love this final scene, so beautiful XD

  • myy favorite part is, (bird fly in) "don't you ever migrate!"

  • I love the fact that the little girl was the first one to go to him...it just shows the purity of a child's heart

  • Yes that Jesters voice is extremely sexy

  • gah! how can he hit those notes????

  • "Don't you ever migrate?" LOL! Ths songis so epic. ANd it's so adorable when the little girl hugs Quasiand brings him towards the rest of the people.

  • I honestly find it hard not to cry when that littleg irl hugs Quasi!

  • When ever i hear Clopin's note at the end i'm like *sighhhh*.

i may have a crush on him x)

  • Holy s*** high D!

  • I love the gargoyles. "hey isnt that whats his name?" "umm Feeble?" "Dolphus?" "PHEOBUS!!"

  • Clopin's voice is sex to the ears.

  • @klepanic63 eargasm =)

  • I feel those Gargoyles ruin some of the movies most epic moments

  • 0:50 - 1:30 had me up in tears<3

  • Disney should make this a Kingdom Hearts world.

  • @dougche1 omg yeah!

  • @dougche1 OHMY GOD YES! Frollo would be a perfect world boss. Think of how amazingly ironic if when he allows the darkness in his heart overtake him, Frollo becomes a demonic looking Heartless?

  • @pokinfunatcartman I haven't seen the movie and i know what ur talkin' 'bout.

  • @dougche1 I'm surprised they haven't done this world.

  • @franfan2 its gonna be one of the main ones in kingdom hearts 3D

    yay X3

  • @ironalex28 The Great Mouse Detective's also going to be in 3D.

  • Three cheers for Quasimodo!

  • @DeweyMaplez Frollo's the monster and Quasimodo is the man, its like clopin, through the singing, teaches the children a valuable lesson. cool.

  • I heard that that is the highest a man's voice can reach.

  • @TheSparkleyVampire I often heard higher notes from a man. James Labrie hit a G5 in the Marquee's Live.

  • @Lotter26 it is true, we can reach higher, pending.

  • "don't you ever migrate?"

  • The voice of clopin is Paul Kandel.

  • I would slice of my pinkies to sing as high.....

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww thats all i can say

  • Has anyone been to disneyland and watched fantasmic?

  • @superduperstar44 it was EPIC WIN!!!

  • i can hit the last note....though i am a girl....

  • @AwsomeAudda lol, I read the first part, and thought, "Damn". Then I read the second part and though, "Oh."

  • clopin is just too much, his voice is the shiz and he's a total badass. i luv him and all his cartoon glory :3

  • @6dancefloormassacre6 My cousin was the supervising animator for Clopin. I have total respect for this guy :P

  • @AlbinoNineTailedFox even if youre lying that is freakin awesome man, he's very lucky and so are you forj ust being related to him. i hope youre proud of him clopin is my fave disney character :3

  • @6dancefloormassacre6 I wouldn't lie about something like that, I think it's stupid and attention-whoring. Anyways, yeah, I'm really proud of him, it's really cool. My brother is gonna follow in his footsteps someday, he's already at one of the best art schools in the country.

  • @AlbinoNineTailedFox i know but its the internet and im not picking on you but people lie. i beleive you, and your brother is very very very VERY lucky. i want to do the same thing. its my dream to go to the art institute of chicago, life long dream to work at disney.

  • woooooah when that little girl goes up and hugs him i just BAWL!!!

  • Clopin's voice is absolutely amazing

  • ESMERALDAS EYES ARE JUST PURE GAWWGES

  • There are two versions of this song. The reprise in the end and the original at the beginning.

And for some reason, the super high note that Clopin sang is different in this reprise.

I liked the last note in the original, but the reprise sounds different in terms of the super high note

  • @avojaifnot In the reprise his highnote is Falsetto.

  • clopin = animated johnny depp :)))

  • @x30o0Megara0o0x3 No wonder i fell in love with clopin :P hehehe

  • I LOVE YOU CLOPIN!!

  • DANG! Disney is amazing when it cones to details!

I just noticed that when Quasi walks out into the sun, his pupils actually contract like real eyes would! now THATS showmanship, the fact they actually had that

  • i dunno why but everythimt the little girl hugs him i cry

    i love this song

  • @SilentHillEmzie it's because it's so touching, I cry everytime without fail.

  • batman marlene rafiki

    mario luigi yoshi

    the beast

  • @Joeyc2996 What? OWO

  • amazingggg

  • DAMN!!! Tht high note!!! Man I swear!

  • It's just... so sexy for a guy to be able to hit that. I won't deny it. It's hot.

  • @silverchyld I dont understand why the dude who sung this song didnt get more... prop... U no

  • I know exactly what you mean. I looked up the voice actor on Wikipedia, and the entry is rather small. I had hoped [and expected] to see some kudos for this song, but there was no mention. Like I and many others have said, one of Disney's most underrated soundtracks.

  • i tired as a kid and now tried as a teen, i still can hit that last note clopin does.....damnit to high...and im a girl!!!!

  • Me too.. Omg.. im sooo happy!

  • that was a good comic kick at the end.

    "Don't you ever migrate?"

  • I love how this movie doesn't show the two characters at first and the two end up in the end lik eother movies that are so predictable.

  • Little kids are so simple minded. innocent. trusting. it's amazing.

    so touching!! <3

  • im not going to lie i cried at that last part.

  • i never noticed for years about the line what makes a monster and what makes a man that at the beginning when he says a tale of a man and a monster that he is reffering to frollo as the monster x

  • It is beautiful writing indeed.

  • Is he a counter-tenor? Cuz i think he is amazing. The last line sends shivers down my entire body. Thank you dearest Paul Kandel :)

  • Yes, I believe he could be a counter-tenor of sorts, but a counter-tenor really is a tenor that sings in a sopranic voice. You know what I mean? For an example, you can look up Vitas or Klaus Nomi, two fabulous counter-tenors. Paul Kandel might possibly be though! =) Isn't his voice amazing? *sighs*

  • best movie ever...

  • "Don't you ever migrate?"

    lol luv this movie

  • i can't stop listening, i think i've watched this 20 times in an hour

  • What the hell is up with this guy? I've never heard someone sing like that...it's awesome :D I've heard it like a thousand times and it still gives me shivers

  • wat i dnt understand is i was watching old time movie trailers and i saw house of frankenstein and it sayed featuring frankenstein wolfman dracula and Quasi the hunchback of noterdome but quasi was not evil so why shoild he be in the house of frankenstein? plz help

  • This is so my fav. part of this awesome movie! I <3 Clopin and his voice - I could listen to it the hole day 8D

  • omg where the hell does disney find these singers!?!?!?! i can listen to that last note being hit all day....its amazing

  • like 2:04-2:14

    purly amazing

  • i agree. phenomenal.

  • Every time he hits the bells of notre dame note i feel this EPIC ness and feel like im about to sob.

    it's so amazing!!!! <3

  • @Fieryrose99 damn i wish i could still hit that note

  • @Fieryrose99 When I hear that note, all I'm doing is sobbing. lol

  • @Fieryrose99 Totally agree. It gives me the shivers. I have to say Disney did an amazing job at finding such an amazing voice such as his. Also such a great actor for Clopin. I love Clopin's voice =D

  • @Fieryrose99 Oh My God!!! Same!1 Thank God I Though I Was The ONly One!

  • If you notice alot of late 20th century Disney animated movies end with reprises

Oliver and Company- Why Should I Worry

The Little Mermaid- Part of your World

Beauty and The Beast- Beauty and the Beast

    Aladdin- A whole New World

The Lion King- Circle of Life

The Hunchback of Notre Dame- The Bells of Notre Dame

  • Its a device that has become very popular in recent musicals. It crops up a lot on Broadway as well. I'm not certain of the specific effect its supposed have, but does add some significance to the Finale.

  • Not to mention they're all songs the movies are known best for. Just off the top of my head, the songs you listed are the only ones that I remember, at least. Still, if I think hard enough, I remember other songs, like Kiss the Girl, Kill the Beast, Once Upon a Time (in New York City), Hakuna Matata, Out There, and Arabian Nights. But only after really thinking. Hard. Owie...

  • It makes sense in this movie though, since it's a framed story and Clopin is the one telling the story.

  • he's a hell of a tenor. the only other one I've heard sing like that is Phillip Casnoff from the OBC of Chess.

  • I love this disney movie!

  • Clopin's voice is teh smexy.

  • Does anyone know what note he sings there at the very end? I know some amazing tenors, and not a single one that can do that. Unbelievable

  • on th soundtrack he hits a high D but this video is a half step higher, making it a high E-flat. Yay music geeks! Lol ;-)

  • I can only reach it in falcetto :(

  • That's exactly what the singer is using. If you do it right, Falsetto doesn't sound too different from your regular singing voice. I can hit it too, but me being a high baritone, it takes a loooot out of me!

  • Ah, but then it's not technically falsetto, it's full voice with head resonance. It's all about training the vocal chords! ^_^ Paul Kandel is amazing at it, isn't he? And such a gorgeous voice! Gives me chills!

  • unsure on this. I can also hit this Falsetto but it does sound very diffierent. Cathedral choir boys use Falsetto and it sounds very diffierent. If anything surely he could be classed as a counter-tenor or similar. His voice just sounds too rich to hit it in fals.

    Dak's

  • Has anyone else noticed that almost all disney villians lack any sort of eye color? Their eyes are almost always just black dots.

  • Classic artistic device, small pupils= EVIL!

  • tears__

  • <3 Clopin Trouillefou.. If orget the name of his voice talent though. It was a good movie even if the ending (and a lot of the show) was nothing at all like the book, lol... I guess if it had been it really wouldn't be a show for kids.

  • Paul Kandel. Amazing. :)

  • i love this song and movie!

    thanks for putting this up.

  • i want to marry Clopin's voice.

  • I don't think Clopin would like that, he needs his voice

  • @kenjmyster who doesn't ^.^

  • @kenjmyster

    Watch the swedish version.

And then we can talk about love towards a voice.

(My english is bad, i know... :/)

  • @kenjmyster I just want to marry Clopin!

  • @kenjmyster Google Paul Kandel to find out if he's married.

  • @kenjmyster I hear that! ;)

  • has any1 else noticed that almost every character has a green eye coloring?

  • .. I swear the pig gargoyle was in love with esmereldas goat :P And Jolly (the goat) is a boy *GASP!!*

  • not that it really matters, but the goat's name is spelled "djali"

  • he was lol

  • @emzylock If it puts your mind at ease, Djali is female in the book.

  • is there any way to get the instrumental version of this. Its so beautiful...

  • Look up EnchantedPhantom. She has one.

  • i love Clopin! haha

  • Who is the monster and who is the man!!!???

Frollo was th monster and Quesimodo was the man!!

This movie is so beautiful....I have something in my eye.

  • i was going to cry when that little girl and Qusimodo were huging

  • I actually did. It's a beautiful movie, wonderfully made.

  • lol sorry but at 1:42

    who else thought "Rudy Rudy"

    sorry ^^

  • Comment removed

  • Wow! I love Disney's version...the original book was way more depressing.

  • indeed, everybody dies in the book^^

well exept Phoebus but who cares about him xD

  • Hold on, even Quasi and Esmerelda die?

    Why? *Sniff*

    And how?

  • Esme - hanged for 'killing' Pheobus

    Quasi - starvation

  • @Alia101 Don't forget Clopin, who was shot while trying to rescue Esme. But at least his death was epic. He went down swinging a scythe and singing. Only he would make a personal musical out of his own last moments.

  • and Pierre Gringore he lives too

  • indeed because he betrayed esmeralda and ran off with her goat, was he in love with Djali or something? sick^^

  • Well he did keep relieveing his sexual desires for Esme on the poor thing. So maybe that sparked some insane goat love in the man. Kinda glad they didn't put him in the Disney film of HoND... ^.^;

  • they kinda did actually, one of the stone friends of Quasi, the fat one, has a crush on the goat. In HOTND 2 the goat even gives him a kiss^^

  • OMG! I never thought of that! Hahahaha! That's just wrong, Disney! WRONG!! XD

Then again when is Disney EVER appropriate ^.^

  • Ughh, Why doesn't Quasi get the girl in the end?

  • That's the weird part about this movie....I kinda like it.

  • Because Esmeralda doesn't love him like that, but she does care enough about him to fulfill his first desire...expressed in "Out There".

  • Clopin has an AMAZING tenor voice!

  • Its a broadway actor called Paul kandel :)

  • No wonder he's so freaking amazing

  • DONT U EVER MIGRATE

  • I just LOVE this song!!! The high voice of this singer (and also in the Hebrew singing) is the most beautiful voice there is!! It gives me go WILD!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • *MAKES me go wild!!!

    Notre Dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!

  • Hey, you from Israel?

    Me too!

  • i love the end where he goes the bells of notre dame!!

  • beautiful song, love quasimodo he's my favorit disney caracter

  • man i love clopin..hes so hot and his voice is so sexy lol
