Church of God in Christ Mennonites, sometimes referred to as "black cap" or "Holdeman Mennonites." Unlike the white caps, they do not photograph themselves at all for any reason other than official US identification. This is rare indeed. Thank you for posting it!

Strange how they cave to the wicked gov't, though. If its a

sin to take a picture its a sin no matter if the gov't wants a

pic or no. But guess a pic is better than being renditioned off

by DHS to a torture prison in Egypt as a terrorist. They don't

believe in musical instruments either, except the voice.

@GooglFascists Can't say I know it all but I have been attending a mennonite church in my area. I get invited to lunch all the time. I have found these folks (at least at my church) have cars, ones that are practical for a family, usually a mini van. I have seen they do have pictures, just not a lot of them. They are simple and there seem to be two cultures. Those that grew up in a mennonite setting and those of us that are studying the way.

@GooglFascists That isn't to say that these communities don't have their unique set of problems. Nothing is perfect. I would say though, there are more problems with those of us just learning and trying to put into practice the Mennonite way of non-resistance and peace than those that have practiced this all their lives. Also they seem to just leave the muciscal instruments out of worship but they didn't seem offended that some of us are very musical with musical instruments
