@Minecraftian1 the baby animal is sent back into the breeding cell, its time to grow up is the same as the breeding cool down time, so you harvest one of the adults :)

Wait, so the pigs are carried from their cells by a minecart, you give them both wheat, baby pig spawns, then its slain, and it gives porkchops?
