you guys all realize the production of this demo has a very negative impact on the actual music itself? if this were to be recorded in a professional studio environment everyone would love it, but you can't hear the depth of the music or vocals since it sounds like a pre-production demo. i'm stoked nonetheless. up until the self titled saosin album was all i could stand. anything after that went downhill in my opinion. glad to get back to almost anthony green roots.

this dude is definitely better than Cove no offense 2 him. this is the closest saosin has came 2 a replacement of Anthony Green. this dude sounds almost exactly like him. plus Cove started fucking off and not caring about his at the time job as the frontman. why would you want someone that quit caring about his job 2 be a frontman of this great band? im a fan of Cove's myself but still. i think this guy has way more potential than Cove ever did. my opinion

Cove is great, but he's not Saosin. His style was too different and Saosin was becoming too mainstream and not Saosin at all...the rest of the band is Saosin, and have been from the beginning, they are finding themselves again, and I think its fuckin great!

Having seen Saosin on a couple of occasions, I can say that Cove's live performances were a complete embarrassment. The last album was also trash. Here's hoping they turn it around with the new blood, but so far both new songs I've heard are about 50x better than anything on the last album.

This guy has got a decent voice, but i dont think he fully fits with them. I'll always think Green did the best out of the three, especially considering Cove's perpetual decent live which helped get his ass bumped. But i think there are definitely better vocalists out there who could fill this void nicely.
Vocals are quite bad, they shouldn't have kicked out Cove. They are assholes now, I'll stick to Translating The Name if I ever feel like listening to Saosin.
You guys musnt have seen Saosin live. Coves voice wasn't what it is on the records. It really was quite poor but I agree that it won't be the same without him. HOWEVER this song is just a demo. When its released it will be alot better.
This song is okay. I wish it was more intense. Another thing, Anthony Green barely had time with the band. He was with them for about a year or so. Cove Reber (who was with the band from 2004 - 2010) made the band as recognizable as they are today. Cove Reber has an AMAZING voice, so I'm sad that he's gone. I don't think the band will be as good as they were, but I'm still hopeful.
I've never heard Tides of Man...call me crazy but this guy sounds like AG mixed with Claudio Sanchez??? I hope this band can stick around for a while longer, very talented but they are starting to remind me of what Further Seems Forever did with the changing of vocalists on every record...
I stopped listening to Saosin after Green left and has since followed circa and his solo stuff which is great, I could never find a Reber song I liked but this has potential.
This is pretty good for a demo. If this is Tillian, which through rumors it appears that it is, his voice is similar to that of Anthony Green's. He seems to have a higher range and he gives them a different feel. I like the overall groove of the song as well. I would be interested to not only hear to new songs with him on it but also some existing Saosin songs with him on them to compare.
I remember when this song was titled "Back to Greatness". Regardless, Saosin needs a vocalist who can perform as good or even better live than on the recordings. If Tilian can do that, then he has a chance.

before releasing anything they had paul day, their first 2 albums had paul dianno. they became more famous with bruce dickinson who was later replaced by blaze bayley before dickinson returned in 1999. however, saosin has done it much faster than iron maiden ever did

this dude is definitely better than Cove no offense 2 him. this is the closest saosin has came 2 a replacement of Anthony Green. this dude sounds almost exactly like him. plus Cove started fucking off and not caring about his at the time job as the frontman. why would you want someone that quit caring about his job 2 be a frontman of this great band? im a fan of Cove's myself but still. i think this guy has way more potential than Cove ever did. my opinion

@hydrokiller007 Finally someone else who gets it!! Theres too many noobs bashing old Saosin. Someone had the brain damage to say Saosin w/ Cove was better than Translating the Name? Saosin with Tillian actually has a real Saosin feel again.
Cove is great, but he's not Saosin. His style was too different and Saosin was becoming too mainstream and not Saosin at all...the rest of the band is Saosin, and have been from the beginning, they are finding themselves again, and I think its fuckin great!

@saosurvive126 IKR and that person didn't even have a clue what real Saosin was to begin with! Tillian has a great voice man, i think he's got it man! Cove's got this new band i think its called Patriot, very different needless to say...and yeah that is what makes it so much better, they are coming back to their original sound which i think will take them much further than their sound they had with Cove

Having seen Saosin on a couple of occasions, I can say that Cove's live performances were a complete embarrassment. The last album was also trash. Here's hoping they turn it around with the new blood, but so far both new songs I've heard are about 50x better than anything on the last album.

i have to agree with nathan its true tilian is great but its way to melodic to be in saosin saosin was saocore now its just sorta plain and simple like this but if saosin is going with this they should stick with it u dont know it might be better than we think

Tilian sounds like the singer from A Skylit Drive, sorry to break it to you guys.
They would have been better off getting Kyle from Burden Of A Day.
Musically, the band is dead as well....It's like they've been going in autopilot since Cove left. I understand this is a demo and not to be taken too seriously, but I really hope this isn't the type of sound they're going for. It's a serious letdown from ISOSG.

What the hell?! You people are very close minded, it's like the only thing you care about is the fashion of the music, and not the love and different aspects, moods, and growth that Saosin's music has gone through. Same shit happened when Cove joined, everyone hated it, then accepted it. By the way, I really don't think this is fully mixed and mastered. You know this shit sounds great, yet you are so in love with previous singers that you cant accept a new one. Get the fuck over it...

@PeanutButterGtr True, they did get big with cove as their singer. However, Tilian is a great fit and will take the band to the next level. Cove was cool in the beginning, but I was really unimpressed with him the last time I saw Saosin live. Just wait man, Saosin with Tilian is gonna be epic.

This guy has got a decent voice, but i dont think he fully fits with them. I'll always think Green did the best out of the three, especially considering Cove's perpetual decent live which helped get his ass bumped. But i think there are definitely better vocalists out there who could fill this void nicely.

Vocals are quite bad, they shouldn't have kicked out Cove. They are assholes now, I'll stick to Translating The Name if I ever feel like listening to Saosin.

You guys musnt have seen Saosin live. Coves voice wasn't what it is on the records. It really was quite poor but I agree that it won't be the same without him. HOWEVER this song is just a demo. When its released it will be alot better.

This song is okay. I wish it was more intense. Another thing, Anthony Green barely had time with the band. He was with them for about a year or so. Cove Reber (who was with the band from 2004 - 2010) made the band as recognizable as they are today. Cove Reber has an AMAZING voice, so I'm sad that he's gone. I don't think the band will be as good as they were, but I'm still hopeful.

I stopped listening to Saosin after Green left and has since followed circa and his solo stuff which is great, I could never find a Reber song I liked but this has potential.

This is pretty good for a demo. If this is Tillian, which through rumors it appears that it is, his voice is similar to that of Anthony Green's. He seems to have a higher range and he gives them a different feel. I like the overall groove of the song as well. I would be interested to not only hear to new songs with him on it but also some existing Saosin songs with him on them to compare.

I remember when this song was titled "Back to Greatness". Regardless, Saosin needs a vocalist who can perform as good or even better live than on the recordings. If Tilian can do that, then he has a chance.

I know Tilian DOES sound a lot like Anthony Green on this track (which I fricking love, even the music sounds like the Anthony-era Saosin), but a friend pointed out to me... the backing vocals in the chorus at 0:57; "It seems so clear", sounds waaaaay too much like Anthony to be Tilian :\ the pronunciation and everything... hmm... I don't know :S

@TheThespian23 are you trying to say that Anthony Green himself provided vocals for this track??? he stated clearly that he is in CIrca Survive for good and would never go back to Saosin, and TiIlian claims he is the singer in this song, and is the only person auditioning to be Saosin's new singer

I'm purely speculating how uncannily similar to Anthony's the backing vocals are at that specific time. I know he would have never come in to record this song. It just weirds me out a little how much the line "it seems so clear" sounds like Anthony is all..
