It wasn't Westernized, they just watered down some things, like Roy's racism, Batsu and Shoma's vulgarity and didn't mention where the game took place (I believe, I don't remember reading the word "Japan" anywhere), but it's not like they started changing names, like from BATSU to BOB or KYOSUKE to KYLE!

They even kept all that Japanese voice acting in disc 1's arcade.

Maybe you're talking about the School Sim being cut from the non-japanese versions?

@XelchanTheBrave oh no sorry, I meant the game in general, which are aimed more players from the west, I miss the good soundtracks and stories of Japanese games (which still exist, but fewer and relevance)

@lucaszappa Hmm... I think Rival Schools is very very very very Japanese, if I have to be sincere. The Japanese school system, gangs, uniforms, baseball, power of justice and friendship and youth... Rival Schools is pretty much like your typical shonen manga.

@dapithapon I dont know much japanese but i think "Kaeru Basho" is something like Return Home or something like that. Is easy to confuse with the word Kero that means Frog.
