Anaerobic exercise gets its energy from glycolysis and the creatine phosphate cycle. Anaerobic is critical because it gains its energy from burning fat as a fuel source along with glucose, which anaerobic exercise does NOT do. Yes, it does increase metabolic activity, but what KIND of metabolism is what makes the difference. Learn your science.

@flickring89 That's because you don't kill fat cells through exercise, you only make them smaller. The concept of "burning" fat is a myth. If you had a lot of fat before, which 31 kilos definitely is, you will still have a good amount of fat tissue around certain areas of your body. Remember, you never get rid of the fat cells you create through over-eating (cept thru liposuction). When you look at people with 6 pack abs, it's because they were genetically predisposed to have a low body fat%

Actually, the preferred terminology is "neutral spine," neither flexed nor extended. What you want to avoid is any undue pressure either to the ventral (rounded back) or dorsal (hyper extended back) aspect of the vertebrae.
