Does your VDJ program ever freeze up on you??? It happens to me at least once at every event where the program won't let me load a new song and I get that annoying "spinning wheel"! Any ideas???

@kurtharris21 hmm not really. I mean sometimes it will pause for a sec while its loading a song up. Is your computer doing other things in the background? You might have to dedicate more space to your computers virtual memory. You should make sure that you have the latest drivers and if its still doing it go to virtual dj's site and tell them your issue. They will send you back some instructions.

Having a well performing computer will make a huge difference. I was using an HP Pavilion that had a Core 2 Duo 1.8ghz, 3Gb Ram fresh install of Windows7 x64, and it worked ok but the response lacked a bit. I now have a Latitude 1.73Ghz i7 Quad core, 8Gb Ram Win7 x64 , and even though I have a TON of other things on the PC its night and day difference. I definitely recommend having a higher end laptop for VDJ.

Hey I just got the rmx and I like it a lot but im still trying to get used to it. I am using the internal mixer skin on vdj pro, i dont think any other ones are good enough for this. I need to figure out some good mapping but im really not too sure what to put where. Any tips? Also, you keep pressing the stop button? Is that mapped for something other than stop? It is confusing the hell out of me. haha

I have my sound fx set up via my virtual dj software mapping it right on my keyboard. You can map the fx using some of your buttons on your rmx, but you'll probably want to use those buttons for other things.

My RMX came in today. I been playing with it all day. Don't think I'll ever be as good as you, but it was still fun playing with it. My biggest problem was installing the drivers. WHAT A HEADACHE!!! But I persisted and got it working great! Now I must PRACTICE and ENJOY! Hahahahaha!

@avw40 most of the FX I have I made combining different fx and are unique. the other ones like the siren come with virtual DJ and you can download fx at a lot of places on the net. Search for Sound FX. Lazers, gunshots, space sounds, and you can even look for reggae sound fx.
