She got out there and did it though and had had tons of success prior to madonna . I like cher because she has those very human qualities and she made it . Madonna was at her peak during 1991 when this interview took place, from 1989-1992 she really was the biggest pop star in the world- The Like A Prayer album, Vogue, Blond Ambition Tour, Justify My Love, the Immaculate Collection, the 1991 performance of Sooner or Later at the oscars (which was live and had the whole audience cheering, not bad for an untalented "fossil" eh?
