Are you sitting next to Jack Van Berg? At :35 sec when you pan to the right I swear that guy looks exactly like Jack! Alysheba is my favorite horse of all time so imagine my surprise and joy when I saw Jack! Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Mike smith knows what the people want....A victory lap for our Queen! :). Breeders Cup Classic....2009=Check, 2010=making space in the Trophy cabinet.
@HorseCrazieGirl15 There will be years after her departure that just seem so kinda blehhh. I know what you're feeling about it. Haven't really been following any racing at all. Not the greatest crop of 3 year olds this year. Although I felt Shackleford was a great front running horse who had something left in his tank in the homestretch. But, I mean, I haven't followed it as closely this last year. I've just been keeping up with her status in foal. Just really hoping for the best there.
It's amazing, it's like she knows the crowd was there to see her. She always poses for the people on the stands, before she goes to the winner circle. If the term The People's Champ, has ever been correctly applied, it should be now.
She knows we love her, she know we're in awe with her, and her prance and stopping for pictures and hor possing after each race, is her way of letting us know.
That she knows it's her we're comming to see. I'm lucky i'll be able to say "I saw her run"...
I just saw her at Oaklawn Park a few weeks ago, it was spectacular, what a show! Horse racing has their champion here. This is a once in a century horse! People need to enjoy her while they have a chance, she will soon retire.
Dude, I was a little to the left of you, wearing a black team Zenyatta 2010 t shirt, I also had two ladies with me. were you next to a little old lady screaming her head off. haha
I was there, too! I stood by the fence as close as possible to the wire. When she started her kick and crossed in front of me, I burst into tears of joy. Just as I had on BC Classic Day. On this day, my hands were shaking so badly, I couldn't even get a decent pix of the Queen dance in the paddock! It'is the most amazing feeling to see her. Forget rock stars - she rocks!! :-)
Thanks for posting this video. It truly captures the goosebump occasion!!
Thank you for posting this moving video. Yes---this is exactly as it was that day. I was seated very close to your location, and tried without success to focus my camera on Zenyatta, but the lens remained blurred. It is difficult to photograph anything through tears. Thank you for providing a clear vision of her post-race standing ovation. It was magnificent---just like her.
Wow! Thank you so much. Gave me goosebumps and caused my eyes to mist over. I will finally get to see her for the first time at Oaklawn. I've been dreaming of seeing her for 2 years. Your footage allowed me to feel like I was there that day. I hope to have equally exciting footage of the Queen April9. I will send it to you if I do and return the favor. Again thank you, for sharing your footage of Zenyatta's 15th( and counting)Great Moment.
When everyone realized Mike was taking her down farther, the crowd went nuts. He stopped her almost right in front of me. This is a great combo of horse and jockey that both acknowledge and entertain the fans.
Thank you for the video. It brings back great, not-so-distant memories.

Zenyatta is a "Once in a Lifetime" experience.
An animal that you will never forget.
She dances as if she were trained to do so.
This is a perfect example of a very happy satisfied Race Horse.
